Meetings of Mom's, Dad's, and Determined Blondes
━━━━━━━━━
"So what exactly are you guys going to do?" I asked teasingly as I sat down on the bed. Jamaica had been amazing so far. But now, came the weirdest time of all: the bachelor and bachelorette parties. After what happened at the Leo and Jannel's wedding, I wasn't particularly scared of tonight. Chase laughed and shook his head as he glanced over himself in the mirror.
"We're literally just going down to the bar." Chase announced, a sarcastic tone to his voice. "We're going to drink. Which is about the same thing that happened at Leo's wedding." He kidded back. "Except this time our company will be Jack and the father's we've somehow never met." Chase sighed as he laid down next to me on the bed. I fell back next to him, the both of us looking up to the ceiling in thought. "At least you guys get to go swimming."
Chase was right. As apart of our bachelorette party for Caitlyn, and with me being the maid of honor this round, we decided that swimming near the pool-bar slash restaurant would be the funniest activity. The beach would only be a few minutes away, and the view from the pool would be amazing.
"How have we never met Adam's dad?" I asked as I turned my head, letting my cheek rest against the bed. A wide smile hit Chase's face as he copied my actions and looked back to me.
"How have we never met anyone's parents?" He shot back. "And how do we always end up with our dad's
And our friends? It's like my dad and your's just perpetually party with us. I was half surprised that they weren't invited to the wedding." I could feel myself laughing at Chase's words. It was actually creepy when you thought about it. Not only do regular friend groups only meet each other's parents once, but our parents are almost apart of our friend group."I'll miss you." I breathed before my phone buzzed against the bed. Chase nodded as he reached over and took my hand. The two of us ignored our cellphones for a second. We had spent so much time apart this trip. Which was weird considering we had made the decision to get back together a few days ago. You would think the wedding party would allow us to spend some time together.
"I'll miss you too." Chase whispered as he scooted in closer to me. He pressed his forehead against my own, each of us falling silent before a loud knocking hit the door. I laughed and quickly pecked my lips against Chase's before jumping up off the bed. "You always leave me hanging." Chase muttered, getting a glare back from me. We really did need some time alone. Just the two of us.
"What." I groaned as I opened the door. Standing outside was none other than the dynamic duo of Adam and Leo. Leo held a huge grin on his face as he pushed past me to get inside the room.
"Well." Leo started, Adam giving me a nod as he made his way inside. I was closing the door behind them as Chase got up off the bed. "So sorry to interrupt your... Private time, but we have a few party activities planned." Leo said snidely as he lightly elbowed Adam. "We wouldn't want the party mood to go by the waste side now would we?" Leo sent a knowing look my way. This kid.
"No-"
"Wait!" He cut me off, holding up his index finger in the air. "The girls are waiting for you downstairs in the lobby. They were too ladylike to leave for the pool without you." I rolled my eyes and shoved the both of them aside to get to Chase. Not only was Leo being annoying, but they were in my way. Two for two.
"Love you." I whispered as I gently kissed Chase's cheek. I tried to pull away before Chase caught hold of my elbow and pulled me back into him. He kissed me obnoxiously, smiling into the kiss as we got a rise out of Adam and Leo.
