Saying Goodbye to The Pizza Place?
━━━━━━━━━
"What are you doing?" I called to Chase as I brushed my hair out. We'd slept in until just now, twelve in the afternoon. The both of us were still pretty tired out from the trip. The flight in itself was pretty exhausting, and the whole trip had been long and dawn out. Then there was the impromptu therapy session that Adam and Leo had forced us into. That therapist was a piece of work. I've never been analyzed that much in my entire life.
"I'm making a sandwich." Chase replied as he started to make his way down the hallway. The two of us had been staying in my room since a few days before the trip. We'd basically cast his room across the hall aside. Not that he had been in there much since we'd started dating. "You want one? I can make it for you." He asked, his head suddenly popping out from around the edge of my doorframe. I laughed and shook my head. I literally just got dressed. How does this kid think I was ready to eat?
"Maybe not right now?" I sent him a knowing look, getting a laugh back from him as he made his way into my room. He leaned back against the left wall near my mirror and dresser, watching as I pulled my hair into a messy bun.
"Then when can I make you food?" Chase asked, my best friend crossing his arms over his chest anxiously. I shook my head, picking up my phone to see a few missed calls from Leo. What did he want now? The four of us had spent almost a whole week together, and all day yesterday to top it all off.
"Why do you have to make me any food?" I laughed as I looked back up to Chase. "I can make my own sandwich, if I even want one." Chase shook his head.
"I'm your husband. I think that gives me the right to make you food whenever you're hungry." He finished off, leaning in and pressing a kiss to my forehead before he walked back out of my room and to the kitchen. I bit into my bottom lip as I reached out and picked up the necklace Chase had given me so long ago. I could hear Chase shuffling around in the fridge as I clamped the necklace ending shut around my neck. "Hey, speaking of husband-"
"We're soar-in, fly-in. There's not a star in heaven that we can't reach."
"Give me a second! It's Leo!" I interrupted him as I reached over to grab onto my phone. Leo was calling again? "What's up? You've called like ten times." I teased as I leaned back in my chair. I could hear Leo laugh dryly on the other side of the phone.
"And you've ignored me like ten times." He mocked my tone. Oh, if only this kid was here.
"For your information, Chase and I only got up about ten minutes ago. And why do you always call me? Call Chase once in a while." I huffed out a breath as I stood up from my chair, glancing around the room for my shoes. I was getting the feeling he would want us all to meet somewhere. Logically the four of us hadn't seen each other for almost twenty four hours.
"I call you because..." He left off at a serious loss for words. At least he couldn't explain it either. He was just as confused as me. "I don't know, Chase is always using his phone for business. You just have personal calls." Leo scoffed. I rolled my eyes, slipping my sandals onto my feet.
"Fine." I said, looking out to see Chase putting the meat and cheese back into the refrigerator. "But seriously, what's up?"
"I need to tell you guys something. But it had to be in person." Leo led in, his words seeming to have some sort of deeper meaning to them. Something was going on here that we didn't know about. "Can we meet up for pizza at the pizza place in like five minutes?" He suggested hopefully. I nodded, heading out to the kitchen where Chase was.
