New York and New Who?! Part 2

━━━━━━━━━

I sighed and reached over to pick up my fork that had been laying out on the table, playing with the edges of it as I waited ever so not patiently for the food to arrive. Chase had left almost an hour ago to go and fix that stupid automatic hotel. What was up with that place anyways? Yeah, it was freaking awesome, but why was Chase the only one that could fix it? You would think one of the other specialists could have done it. But no, they just had to take Chase away from me on our first official date since we got back together.

I uncrossed my legs and glanced around the restaurant once more, wondering where our little waiter had run off to. He had come in and out with food about twenty times, but each time it was never our's. Remind me never to order food and then ask for it to go. You're instantly labeled as last on the list. Even more so after paying the idiots. At least when you haven't paid they're paying more attention to you.

My heart jumped as the sound of the kitchen doors swinging open at the other side of the restaurant caught my attention. The waiter walked out, a kind of confidence to him he really shouldn't be having. I would like to think there was more to life than just being a waiter, but that was totally his choice. He stopped next to the table and placed the two boxes stacked on top of each other onto the table. I smiled politely up to him as I quickly reached over and grabbed onto my hand bag.

"Is there anything else I can get for you, lovely?" He asked, a smug smile hitting his face as he stared deep into my eyes. I wanted to show my repulse on my face, trust me, I did, but that would be rude. Right? I smiled dismissively as I placed the bag on the top box and stood up quickly, pulling the boxes into my arms and pushing past him.

"No thank you." I called over my shoulder as I practically ran out of the place. I shivered involuntarily as the feeling of him looking me up and down hit me hard. Even Chase didn't look at me that long or that intensely. I would mind it less if it was Chase, but at least my boyfriend was a gentlemen about it. This kid was just straight up staring.

I inwardly groaned as I came upon the door that was now closed. I spun around to use my back to open the door, my eyes awkwardly meeting mister creepy waiter before he let his glance fall to the ground. He walked swiftly back to the kitchen to hide out until another girl like me was left behind.

I pushed through the door ad carefully made my way down one flight of stairs. Which would be easy despite me wearing heels. At least it wasn't like back home where Chase and I had to climb four flights of stairs just to get to our apartment. I never understood why we didn't have an elevator in our building. That's besides the point.

The air was cold as I walked outside. It wasn't like winter cold but it was a nice breeze, one that lifted me up from how muggy New York had felt earlier on the plane. I glanced up towards the top of the hotel that my dad had built. Chase was somewhere in there. How fun it would be to find him or meet up with him later tonight. From how tonight was looking, he was no where near done with whatever odd job they were having him do.

"We're soar-in, fly-in."

I rolled my eyes as the rington Leo had picked for himself played out from my phone. Apparently I had 'Breaking Free' set as my ringtone on his phone. Something about we should quote on quote, 'call each other everyday'. Oh Leo.

I slid the boxes over into my left hand, my right reaching up into my hand bag and pulling out my phone. I clicked accept and held the phone up to my ear. "Hey, Leo."
