I was on my feet in the Garden. It was like a giant green house, with a mystical green dome over the top. I closed the door behind me, following Belle to a shelf. Her emerald gaze removed some dirt and dumped it on the work bench.

She took a box off the shelf placing it next to the dirt pile. "What are we doing here?" I asked her.

"Life is beautiful," she said taking a vile of purple liquid off the shelf.

"Yes, we agreed on that but what are we doing here."

Her blank face turned to me," make life," she said opening the box. Inside were trinkets and nature like materials. The box was a old fishing box, the kind that would hold hooks. "Give eyes, a mouth, ears, create," she listed. I saw the faintest smile on her face. The most emotion she's ever shown me.

I stepped forward, hmmm.

I took a vine from the box, wrapping it around the dirt pile in a spiral. Taking two leaves I shaped them to look like ears. I found a necklace, one with multiple gems, stringed up on a chain. Like a laundry line but with elegant gems, the cheap kind obviously. I wrapped it around the "head" of the mound making it look like eyes.

Using two twigs I made a mouth and didn't put on a nose. It was adorable, well, as adorable as a pile of dirt can get. Belle studied my creation closely, looking satisfied she had me take a step back.

She removed the cork from the vile, pouring the purple liquid over the mound of dirt. "What are you doing?" I asked her. I thought we were just playing around, like I would make sand castles when I was nine kind of play.

The pile of decorated dirt shined bright green and purple for a brief second. I closed my eyes to protect them and when I opened them.... it was alive.

The mound of dirt was packed together by the vein. His six gemed eyes shifted back and forth excitedly. It's mouth was wide and lifted into a smile, there was a inside to its mouth. The leaf ears flickered back and forth, what on earth did I just make?

Belle took my hand, she put my hand on the top on its head. My eyes were wide, I had no idea what to do. It acted like a cat, pressing into my touch until I found myself petting it. He was actually cute, and so friendly too.

"His name is Dirt," Belle announced with a real smile on her face. She could feel after all.

"Dirt?" I chuckled," sounds perfect." It jumped up off the bench, hopping around. To my surprise the dirt stayed together. And any that strayed were immediately reattached to him, like a magnet.

"Wh-what is he?" I asked curious as to how this happened.

She watched Dirt hop around as if he was celebrating. "A Kytani, but more of a animal form. He is a pet, loyal and loving," she explained, her voice laced with joy.

"The purple stuff-"

"Brought him to life. You are his creator, he's yours for life," she interrupted. I looked down at him, he cuddled up next to my leg. I smiled adoringly at him, he was only a foot tall. A large pink tongue hung out of his mouth, he was like a puppy!

"Really?" I asked in disbelief.

She nodded," the only care he requires is your affection." I bent down picking him up, the dirt was warm. He was really alive. I giggled as he licked the side of my face,"he's perfect," I sang. I patted his head affectionally, his string of eyes seeming to close as he leaned into my touch. He made a purring sound, I couldn't deny my love for him instantly.

"What's going on in here?" Some one asked, the shack door opening. It was Pork-Pine. Her black eyes narrowed in on Dirt in my arms. "You-you made a Kyto?" She asked in surprised.
"A Kyto is like a pet Kytani right?" I laughed, as he licked the side of my face again.
"Yes, not many are given the opportunity to make one if their own. Especially outsiders," a smile spread across her face seeing him happily pant in my arms.
