"Hello Puppies, miss me?"
Before I could blink I was behind Percy's back, he was in protective mode. The rest of the junior Supreme Alphas stood side by side with him in attack formation. They practically made a blockade in front of me.
Percy's actions didn't go unnoticed by Viorel. "Ah," he smiled, tilting his head back. "This must be the Alpha's mate. I'm jealous, I would love sleeping next to a human every night, a blood bag just waiting to be drained-"
The Prince was cut off by Percy's curt growl. "Your not welcome here, Prince Viorel."
He raised his eye brow in response. Between the softly cut angles of his face and unnatural hair, it was clear he was one of the oldest creatures alive. We shouldn't be questioning him." If I'm not mistaken, you've been trying to contact my family ever since this war began. Now one of us is here and you intend to slam the door on my fangs?"
"We've been calling for weeks, what made you change your mind?" Kaneza questioned.
I shivered watching him lick the dripping blood off his chin. "I was hungry. I want what any royal wants, my power back." The room didn't speak or move again, instead they gauged his movements. Viorel's mysterious amethyst eyes laced through the blockade like a snake. He stared through me, embedding his eyes in my mind. I felt an attraction to him, he was the bait and I was the prey.
Something was very wrong here. I could feel it in my gut.
The tension in the air was dispersed by the sound of a door being opened. I recognized the man who walked into the room to be Percy's father. The scar on his jaw was pale against his tan skin. "Prince Viorel, if your done terrorizing the future generation- would you join us in the War room?"
Viorel's nodded in response, beginning his walk to join Olcan. He disappeared into the next room but not before pulling his lips back in a smirk directed at yours truly. Something told me he wasn't here for the war. He was here to collect his debt from me.

"Are you feeling ok?"
I was brought out of my thoughts by a faintly familiar voice. When I turned my head I was greeted with Caribbean blue eyes.
"Amani? What are you doing here?" I questioned, getting to my feet to welcome my guest. As soon as Viorel was in the war room, Percy got me out of that building. He rented a hotel room, a few minutes away from the condo. He was convinced it wasn't safe for me, he kissed me goodbye and went to finish the day's meeting. He wouldn't be back for hours.
He shrugged carelessly, running his hand through his sun bleached blonde hair. "Percy thought you could use some company." A situation I was all to familiar with. My uncomfortableness didn't go unnoticed,"or I can leave you to your thoughts-"
"No-" I said abruptly. His eyes widened in response," no," I mutter a little quieter. "I just- feel guilty," I finally confessed.
The Supreme Alpha of the Islands sat in the chair in front of me. He leaned back, crossing his legs in a manly manor. His sincere expression told me to continue. "My friend is missing. He's always by my side and it feels wrong to just replace him."
"Your friend? When did he go missing?" His blue eyes narrowed, empathizing with me.
"He was suppose to come over with the pack warriors, they said he got on the plane but he never got off."
"A disappearance as mysterious as that could only be due to magic," Amani declared, looking deeply into the floor.
"He's such a good man, and he is close friends with the Kytani- why would they take him?" I asked myself out loud.
Amani shook his head, dread filled shadows running down the side of his face. "Kytani magic doesn't work like that. In fact, that kind of magic is thousands of years old. With all do respect Luna, your friend may have been taken by a god. If that's the case- then I'm afraid he's gone."
I had to press my hands together to stop them from trembling. Maybe not a god, if the stories I heard are true- perhaps a demigod. "If you would excuse me, the jet lag is affecting me. I think I'm going to rest my eyes for a little while."
He nodded in full understanding. Walking himself to the hotel door he said meaningfully," my greatest condolences Luna, happy dreams." Following the click of the door I burst from my seat.
Viorel's mother was a god before she fell in love with the vampire king. That made him not only a Prince, but a demigod as well. Viorel just shows up the same exact time Gabe goes missing, coincidence? I think not. I had to tell Percy about my theory, I grabbed my jacket and walked to the hotel door.
My guards turned, looking at me with surprised stares. "I need you to drive me to the War room. It's an emergency."
The men exchanged strained looks. "We were ordered to keep you here. The Alpha has made it clear it is not safe for you to return to the War condo."
I glared at the men, doing my best to make myself appear big. "My friend is missing, maybe dead. I don't care about my safety, I have a lead and I need to tell Percy in person."
The guard to my left sighed in defeat. "Very well, Luna." He rubbed put his hands on my arms as a sympathetic gesture. He gripped my arms tightly, before a pinch flared on the back if my right arm. I stumbled out of the guard's hold before looking to the opposite guard, in his hand was a needle.
"We apologize for our actions Luna, but it was the Alpha's orders."
Darkness rimmed my eyes as I slid down the wall and to the floor. That bastard is going to receive a earful when I wake up.
