I sighed in content in Percy's soft bed. His bed was soft as a cloud and the perfect temperature. I lazily rolled to the side spreading myself out across a cool spot. I chose to ignore the few rays of light that strayed from under Percy's bedroom curtains.

After a moment two muscular arms gently pulled me back to a firm chest. A nose sunk into my shoulder briefly before kissing my mark. I smiled, my eyes still closed.

"So which whore are you?" A bored voice asked, splitting the silent air. Instantly my eyes were open and Percy was crouched above me in attack position. Standing at the foot of our bed was a tall woman. She had a flatter chest, with slim arms and narrow hips.

Her hair was jet black and her eyes a luminous blue. Percy growled," what the fuck Angela!"

She looked at me instead," I asked a question mutt. How many times has he fucked you in the last week."

My mind was foggy from just waking up, my reaction time was not as fast as this chick wanted. "Excuse me?"

Percy wrapped his arm around me settling back into the bed. "She's my mate."

Angela studies me in disinterest, she takes a sniff of the air. A scowl spreads across her face. "It is a human. I hate humans."

"She's your Luna, you will show her respect," Percy snapped.

"We have training in fifteen minutes. Get off your ass and be there," she ordered before walking out of the room, slamming the door in the process.

"Who the hell was that?"

Percy groaned," my god dam sister."

Using the little time we had, we got ready and made our way down stairs. Percy pecked me on the lips before saying," I'll be back in a couple of hours. No leaving the house, no inviting people in the house. Gabe and Tristan are your body guards. Your brother is being fed as we speak and I want you to eat after I leave."

I rolled my eyes. "Aye-aye captain," I mocked.

He didn't find it funny," I'm serious Max. Or do I need to lock you in our room."

I swallowed," well, no-"

"Good," he pecked me on the lips again before he went out the door.

As soon as he was out the door the scent of hot chocolate found my nose. Turning to face the kitchen I saw Gabe leaning against the frame of the kitchen entry. In his hands were two mugs with steam rolling off them. Her wore a battered tank top exposing his well defined arms and glimpses of his sculpted chest. The kitchen light that streamed in behind him made it hard to believe that he was anything but beautiful. Slowly a grin crawled onto his face," your glowing," he commented.

I rolled my eyes taking the mug from his hands," we didn't have sex last night you idiot."

He chuckled," just wanted to know if I needed to make a condom run for the future."

I slapped his chest causing him to stumble back with a boyish smile on his face. "Your gross, and when that time comes you will not be making those runs."

He chuckled watching me as I entered the kitchen for some breakfast. "Well who else is going to do it, Angela?"

I wrinkled my nose hearing her name. "What's the deal with her? I never knew Percy had a sister."

He shook his head sitting down at the table lazily. "She's not exactly a person the family likes to mention. That girl is as ruthless as she is beautiful. I think you should stay away from her, she's dangerous."

I gave him a confused look,"what made her so... spiteful?"

He grew quiet for a moment before he answered," her mate rejected her. Her mate was human, and he chose another human over her. That's why she's like that now. Angela is as reckless as her mother and as unforgiving as her father. What she wants she gets, by intimidation or by force. Those are very scary combinations."

I looked Gabe in the eyes as I said," if you are going to worry about anyone, worry about Parker. Angela won't lay a finger on me because I am Percy's mate but she will kill Parker if she finds him."

His mouth pressed into a firm line as he replied," you shouldn't rely on Percy's title to protect you. If anything it should make you more cautious."

I stood up straight saying," I have faith in my mate, and in you." His dark brown eyes met mine, holding me hostage for a moment before I finally finished my sentence. "I trust you Gabe. And that's why I want you to be the one in charge of moving my brother to a safe place."

His face was stunned as the information soaked in. "I don't have the rank or the experience for-"

I held up my hand stopping him. "I've seen you lead. You can hide it from the others but you can't hide it from me and if you won't have faith in yourself then I'm going to have to for you. Your smart, your passionate and your brave. You've saved my life before and hid me away from danger. Now I'm asking you to do the same for my brother."

He averted his gaze to the floor. "And what will your mate say when he hears you've asked another male to protect someone you hold dear?"

I started to sip some hot chocolate as I replied," he has his hands full with the pack, his father and now his sister. I would like you to do it because that would mean leaving, and that would mean safety."

He scowled, a look that twisted my heart. Darkness was not a look I liked to see in such a kind soul. "That would mean leaving you and I won't do that with Angela around."

The squirting of the coffee machine brought my attention away from Gabe. "I have Percy and Tristan. They are all I need."

I looked up again seeing Gabe's hands clenched into balls and his eyes guarded. "Whatever Max." He stormed off, heading straight for the front door.

I let my hands land on the surface of the table, hunching myself over. I was just trying to protect him. Some Luna I'm turning out to be.

A sinister laugh came from the other side of the room. Stepping out of the shadows revealed Angela. Her bright blue eyes captivating in a hypnotizing way. "If you want to lead then your going to need to take control of your sheep. Don't ask, demand."

I sent her a scowl," I don't order my friends around."

"He's a pack member before he is your friend. Regardless, I've never seen Gabe so angry. What did you ask him to do?"

I noted the training gear she wore, black leggings and a loose tank top. Over it she wore padding and had a bag draped over her shoulder. "Shouldn't you be training?" She grabbed a cup of coffee before she walked out the kitchen door. The sound of her arrogant laughter followed as soon as the door shut.

I poured some milk into my hot chocolate suddenly feeling drained. Guilt clung at my heart like wet clothes do to skin. I never meant for Gabe to be offended.

Pushing the guilt aside, I knew I was going to have to send Parker away for his own safety, I'm going to go find him-spend some time with him. I found Parker and Tristan concentrating very hard on a Xbox game.

The intensity in their faces matched the blood splatter on the screen. I chuckled, "can I borrow Parker for a bit?"

Tristan growled in response. I raised a eyebrow causing him to lower his gaze to the floor, "of course Luna," he replied through gritted teeth. He abandoned his spot on the couch, leaving the room.

"What go into him?" I asked Parker as I sat down.

He shrugged," we were in the middle of a important match."

"What do you say we watch a movie?"

He ruffled my hair affectionately," sounds good baby sista'."

I rolled his eyes as he scanned through the Disney collection.
