Gabe stared at Dirt, confusion in his eyes. "You couldn't have given him legs, or arms? Not even a nose?"

I glared at him, holding Dirt closer to my chest," don't be mean."

He shrugged innocently," Max, he's a pile of dirt!"

My glare was daring," he's perfect to me."

He shook his head giving up. Belle appeared from another room in the Hallow, she walked upright for a change. She stood at a surprising 5'5. "Outside?" Her tone of voice was a question.

I let Dirt hop to the ground," sure, that sounds like fun."

Gabe blocked my way,"I don't think so missy."

I put my hands on my hips," and why is that?"

"Because your to stay put until Percy gets here. I don't need you getting into trouble."

I rolled my eyes,"I'll have Belle with me, and you can join if you want."

He stood like a brick wall," Nope."

I gave him a bummed look. "Please Pony! Let's go outside, he won't be here for another hour anyway!"

"Don't use my stupid nickname to try and get to me. Your the Luna of the Aconite Pack, and your Mate, if you haven't figured out, is not keen on you wondering around."

I stood up taller," I'm Luna and I say let me pass."

He stepped forward, his firm brown eyes causing me to take a step back," I'm your friend, check mate."

I raised a eyebrow," call me stupid but I don't think it works that way."

He poked my nose with his finger," stupid," he teased with a sly smile. Even when he was being an ass he made my heart warm with that charming smile.

Dirt nudged his leg, his large pink tongue licking his shin. A thick layer of translucent slim sat on Gabe's shin, so thick it started to slug down like syrup. I stifled a chuckle. "See Dirt wants to go too."

His nose twitched up in disgust," Percy's never going to let you keep that thing."

I stuck up my chin," I'll worry about that. Dirt grows on you, kinda like that slop is sticking to your leg." He stared down at Dirt, who leaned against Gabe's slimy shine like you would a wood post. He looked very satisfied with himself, his tongue hanging out happily and his cheap gem eyes staring up at him.

"Sure," he said uncertainly.

"He likes you Wolfy," Belle said, her eyes staring down at Dirt.

He raised his lip in disgust as he said," I really wish he didn't."

I rolled my eyes," like I said, he'll grow on you. Now can we please-"

"No," Gabe said in a commanding tone. He was serious, his chocolate eyes said it all.

Suddenly his face twitched and he collapsed to the floor, a large pine needle sticking out of his back. I stared in surprise, what just happened?

Pork-Pine stood behind, the needle in his back looked very familiar to the needles that made up her hair. "Go on outside. Were on Kytani land, no rouges are out there."

"Will he-"

"He'll be fine. Just paralyzed for hour."

I gaped at her," um, well..."

"Outside," Belle chirped as she grabbed my hand tugging me back through the portal.

Instead of the woodland area I remembered coming through, with the two white trees... we were in a completely different place.
