I paced up and down the jet aisle. Anxiety clawed at my chest like a bear would a bee hive. "Are you sure he was on the plane when it took off?"

Percy sighed from leaning against the Jet wall. A crystal glass of whiskey sat in his hand, swirling the honey colored liquid inside. "For the fifth time, no one knows."

"How does no one notice the Alpha's brother is missing on a plane!" I shouted into the air.

"Adopted. And he's more my friend then anything," Percy corrected. I tore at the roots of my hair, I couldn't stop fidgeting or seeing Gabriel's amber eyes. They haunted me, beckoned me to remember something I had missed. Percy put his whiskey down, grabbing the sides of my arms. Not being able to move made me feel trapped. I wanted to do something, I couldn't rest with Gabe being missing. "Relax, love. This is Gabe your stressing over, he's one hell of a fighter. You've seen that first hand. I'm sure he's fine."

His calm tone and relaxed touch made me angry. How could he just be fine! "This isn't Angela who disappears randomly and shows back up when she likes. This is Gabe, my-"

"Friend," Percy finished for me.

I swallowed," yes, my friend." A part of me felt cold in his absence. Yet at the same time, like I was on fire. Every fiber wanted me to escape this confined place and hunt him down. I had an unexplainable urge to protect Gabe. After all he had done for me, I wanted to return his loyalty.

Percy ran his hands up and down my arms in an effort to soothe my fears. "Shhh, I know your worried. I have my best trackers on it, there's nothing more we can do, Max." A sob sat in my throat preventing a response. I rested my head on Percy's chest and let him rock us back and forth. "Gabe is strong. Don't forget that."

Hearing his words I was back in the forest with Gabe. Staring into his eyes as the morning light streamed in from behind him. His eyes were full of passion and ever glowing embers. In that moment I had faith in him that he could survive anything. I took a deep breath, releasing the fear for the time being. "Yes," I agreed," Gabriel is strong."

Percy pulled back showing off a boyish grin," see?"

The pilot came over the intercom. "Were about to land, Alpha." We took our seats and prepared our selves for both the landing and the war about to come.

Driving only increased my levels of stress. "There are six Supreme Alphas. But you will see twelve because each are bringing their heirs. I advise you to be silent unless spoken to. Many of the Alphas follow a more traditional path and believe men are superior to woman."

I scrunched up my face in disgust. "Please tell me being around these Alphas won't change how you and I are equals."

Percy gave my palm a big, sloppy kiss. "Of course not, My Hazel."

"Well good," I grinned, letting a bubbly feeling overwhelm my stomach. I caught his lips with mine in a short, sweet kiss. After pulling away I saw his face light up. "So, what's the game plan? How do these meetings work?"

"Each Alpha gets the opportunity to share with the other Alphas what they have brought to the war. How many soldiers, what their specialty is, what weapons, what strategists and so forth... then we all go around sharing what Intel we've gathered about the enemy. Finally each Alpha proposes a plan and then we each compromise with the other until we are confident in our strategy."
