"Am I dead?"
I wish I had a better way to describe what I remembered, but all I can remember is fire. Kaneza and I were trapped behind the counter of the bar, about to be burned alive.
Now that I look around I have no doubt in my mind that this is not heaven. I was in a silver cage, suspended from the ceiling. I wish I could provide more detail but I was in a place that was pitch black. Only my cage was illuminated by the light of a single window ten feet from the cage. Outside the small window was the moon, a half moon peaking into my hell.
The Rays caressed my skin in a comforting way. I stared up, wondering if there was a moon goddess, and she could see me too. "Please be alive Percy, please be alive," I muttered from my helpless position.
Hours went by, each second like bacteria eating away at my insides. I don't know how long I had been out but I could feel the strain of the Mate bond. It was distant, still damaged because I had given myself to another male. I pray Kaneza is alive, she may be my only hope.
At some point in the night I must have fallen asleep, when I awoke there was a woman standing in front of the cage. Taking a good look around, I appeared to be in a high tower, hence the dangling. The woman had to stand on a electric ramp just to reach my cage. The tower was brighter than before, must be day time.
"Good morning dear."
I shuddered, seeing the woman in the condition she was in. Her hair was more like nest, tangled and knotted until there was no evidence it had ever grown from her scalp. Her dress was a sour shade of green, and looked to be in ruins as well. Her face however was a different story.
She had soft brown eyes and a gentle curve to her lips. She must have been beautiful once. "Pardon my appearance, haven't left the dungeon in a decade I'm afraid."
"A-a decade?" I stuttered, but was cut short by the dryness of my throat.
"Oh honey! Have some water." I took the water happily, chugging it down. The woman fixed her eyes on my glum expression. "You'll understand why your here soon enough."
"Why am I here? Who took me," I begged the woman.
She's handed me some cheese before muttering,"I don't know. I never know a thing." She paused,"However, I can give you advice, the Prince is a cold, heartless man. He is impulsive and blood thirsty on a entirely different level. If you wish to keep your blood in your body... do as he says."
"The Prince? As in Prince Viorel?"
The woman gave me a puzzled look," no one has seen that Prince in, well I don't know, hundreds of years."
I furrowed my eye brows," then who took me?"
"The mundanes used to call him the Blood Ripper, a demon of the night. Really he's a member of the Aries family, here he is known as Prince Silviu." She walked off after that, retracting the metal ramp with her.
If this Prince was anything like his brother then he was a vampire I didn't want to meet. I let go of the bars my hands held, looking up into the day I pleaded softly, "Please help my mate find me."

Parker's POV:
Dirt hopped gleefully, the stick I had thrown dangling from his mouth. I took the stick back from him, tossing it into the woods again. It was a numbing process, and I wanted nothing more than a distraction right now. Dirt was a like a dog, chasing after a stick was the equivalent to Christmas morning for a kid.
