Check out the song on the side. Beautiful song sang by someone with a beautiful voice.

I sat in art with Louise, Emily, Danielle and Faye who were all talking animatedly with each other whilst I slowly chewed on the same piece of bread for at least three minutes. It came to a point where everything was just mush with a bittersweet taste, but for some reason I couldn't swallow it so I decided to see how long I could chew the same piece of bread without swallowing it.
I missed being at home. The lazy lie ins. The silence that always welcomed me when I woke because everyone else was either at work or at school. Now, I had to suffer the girlish squeals and annoying laughter of my so-called-friends.
It was my first day back at school after my three week suspension and everyone was a lot calmer about things than I would have expected. No one cornered me and pressured me into telling them what had really happened. The whole situation might have just calmed down and no one was bothered anymore or everyone believed the rumours and didn't want to ask for my part of the story.
I think it was because of the latter since Lizzie would come home and tell me that the majority of the year believed in the rumours and we would just laugh at their stupidity. Lizzie didn't bother trying to persuade them otherwise because she thought that they could just figure it out themselves, and I agree with her.
"Joanne," someone sang behind me as the door opened. "Thought that I'd find you in here."
"Yeah," I turned and saw Lizzie walking towards us with a friend trailing behind her. Her name was Lauren and she was in my Religious Studies class and she always made me laugh. I returned her the warm smile that she gave me. "We're always in here no matter the weather. Whether it's pouring or whether it's a wonderful day like it is now," I added hoping that 'my group' would pick up on my annoyance of having to be indoors all the time.
"Walk with Michael to his house tonight and don't bother going home. We're all going to youth together tonight," Lizzie gave me a sly smile which showed me that she picked up on what I had said.
"Sure. You guys are going to wait for me right?" I finally swallowed the contents in my mouth that I had been holding for a good five minutes by now.
Lizzie nodded in reply.
"Can we come?" Emily chirped in. I turned slowly to face her as did Lizzie mirrored the same confused expression as me. I quickly looked back at Lizzie for help.
"No because John, Michael and I aren't really your friend and we don't know you," she kept her face straight and expression firm.
"Anna's our friend," Louise snapped back.
"No I'm not," I shot back before I could stop myself. They all look taken aback at my outburst and I had to admit, I was as well.
"Well if you're not then why do you always hang around with us?" Louise glared at me.
"I don't have much of a choice. It's either be around you or be around no one," I returned the glare.
"I thought we were friends Anna," Faye added.
"Friends involve each other in conversations- you just ignore me. Friends don't whisper behind each others backs and I know you lot have been talking about me. It's so obvious," I glared at each one in turn. "You aren't exactly the most subtle people."
"Well then why don't you just piss off," Emily glared at me.
"You know what," I stood up and slung my bag over my shoulder. "I might just do that," I looked at Danielle to see whether she would speak out for me but she kept her gaze on her lap avoiding eye contact with anyone. I scoffed and then turned to leave, unsure of where to go.
