Bruno's P.O.V.

So, as I sit in the waiting room, waiting on the news about Ari, I sit and stare at Jennavive, her staring at me back.

"Mommy's gonna be just fine, baby." I say, my voice as soft as a feather. Jennavive flashes a smile at me, dropping it as Ryla sits in the chair next to me, crying. I'm assuming it's because of Ari.

"She'll be okay, Ry. Don't worry." I cooed.

She shakes her head. "Not this time Bruno, not this time."

Tears start filling my eyes. "Ryla! How could you say such a thing? She's your best friend and she'll be okay in a couple of days. She'll even walk out of this hospital, carrying Jennavive in her arms, and having a wide, pretty smile."

Ryla flashes a weak smile and looks at Jennavive. "She has your hair but, Ari's eyes and Ari's smile. She's so beautiful."

I smile. "Yeah, she is."

My smile fades when a nurse comes speed walking out of Ari's room, with her arms open wide. "I need the baby, sir."

I kiss Jennavive on the head then hand her over to the nurse, crying starting. "It'll be okay, baby." I say, the nurse giving me a weak smile, before walking down the hallway, but, to a different room.

I felt... empty, without my daughter in my arms already. I'm so use to my baby. She's like an addiction to me- a drug that I can't stay away from.

Ari's P.O.V.

As I lay in this bed, not being able to feel my body, I listen to the doctor and nurses' conversation.

"I don't think she's going to be able to make it. There's nothing more we're gonna be able to do."

"But, doctor, can't you do an emergency procedure? I mean, you just can't let her die!"

The doctor shakes his head. "The procedure is too risky to try doing. There's a seventy- five percent chance that she won't make it if we do, do the procedure. I'm sorry."

The nurse nods as she wipes a tear off of her cheek. "Well, you go tell the baby's father and the girl out there that she might not make it." She says. "I can't do it. It's too difficult to do for me."

The doctor sighs and nods.

Oh, I'm gonna die? No! No, why me? I've been a good person. I AM a good person. Everybody knows that.

"Wh-where's my baby?" I said, with a whisper.

The nurse comes over to me and plays with my hair a bit. "She's getting a check up. They're checking her pulse and such. They need to make sure she's healthy, hon."

I shake my head as I start crying, the best I could. "I want my baby, Miss!" I whimper.

"I'm going out to tell them the news." The doctor says, heading out of the room.

The nurse nods, before looking back down at me. "Am I-am I really gonna die?" I scaredly asked.

Her eyes get all big and wide. "Where-where'd you hear that?"

She knows I heard it just by me asking.

I cough, something coming out of my mouth.

"Oh!" She gasps, grabbing a towel and wiping my mouth.

"I heard you guy-"

Before I knew it, I was being shipped into another room, nurses hovering around me, as they rolled me to a new room.
