Chapter 22

A week has passed and our journey through the pass of Caradhras has been seemingly peaceful. Nothing has happened yet, and I intended to keep it that way. Sadly, I had spooken too soon, because the next day that passed, we were cursed with a blizzard. I watched as Legolas scouted ahead, to see for a chance that we may be getting closer to the end of the pass. Gandalf was trudging through the deep snow. Behind Gandalf was Boromir who assisted Merry and Pippin. Gimli was strugling through the deep snow as well as Sam. Aragorn was in the back clinging tightly to Frodo as if to give his some source of heat. I stood in the far back, careully watching everyone. I hated being up here, for many reasons. One of which I was warned to not come through her, and the next was that the blizzard was blocking the sun, making me feel a bit weak. I walked ontop of the snow slowly and carefullyy, not wanting to fall off, but then I could hear it. A faint voice in the air.

'I warned you not to come through this pass' It was HIS voice, the voice of the figure that I saw days ago. 'I warned you...bt you did not listen' It hissed out.

"I'm sorry! No one listened to me!" I yelled up to the sky.

Aragorn quickly looked up at me with curious eyes. "Who do you appoligise to Eliana?"

"I-I was speaking to myself" I quickly lied.

'Turn back.....Go back.....Saruman plans on bringing down the mountain get everyone out of there...NOW!' The voice shouted in my head which caused me to wince in pain.

I did not reply, I just pickled up my pase and ran towards Gandalf.

"Gandalf...we mu-"

"There is a fell voice in the air" Legolas spoke out quickly.

"IT"S SARUMAN!!" Gandalf yelled and the mountain began to crumble.

The wind blew around harshly and I quickly took hold of Gandalf.

"Gandalf...it is not safe here we must go!" I yelled, but he only ignored me.

Large boulders quickly fell from the mountain side, someone quickly grabbed hold of my waist and pulled me towards the wall of the mountain.

"Are you alright" Legolas asked me.

I blushed lightly. "Yes...I am fine...but I fear that we will not be safe until we leave this mountain" I stated as I tried to move, but it seemed that Legolas refused to let me go.

"He's trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf we must turn back!" Aragorn yelled as he held on to Frodo.

"NO!" Gandalf yelled as he quickly got up. "Losto Caradhras, sedho, hodo, nuitho i 'ruith" Gandalf chanted loudly, but the only result was a clash of lightning struck the mountain, causing more rubble to fall.

"Get against the wall!" I shouted and pressed myself closer to Legoals.

It was helpless though, a mass of snow fell and burried us all completely. I could feel the could snow touching my skin , but I could also feel the warmth of Legolas. He and I struggled to move, but finally we mannaged to free ourselves from our snowy graves.

"Are you alright?" I asked Legolas this time

He simply gave me a reasuring smile and got up to his feet, still not letting me go. We had seen everyone else come from under the snow and stuggle a bit to stand.

"We must get off the mountain...make for the gap of Rohan! or take thw west road to my city!" Boromir spoke a bit out of breath.

"The gap of Rohan takes us to close to Isengard! Aragorn yelled.

"We cannot pass over a mountain. Let us go under it! Let us go through the Mines of Moria" Gimli reminded everyone of the other route that we could take.

My body froze in place, Legolas seemed to nocice this because he looked at me with worried eyes. I had to change their minds about not taking the mines. I just had to.

"We can not take the Mines of Moria Gimli!" I yelled over thw roaring snow.

"And why not?!"

"I do not know...but I have been told by a source that we could not go there...I have a bad feeling about it..." I said quietly, but i knew the only one to hear was Legoals.

I looked over to Gandalf who only had a look of grief and guilt upon his face. "Let the ring barer decide" Gandalf said soon after and everyone's eyes flew straight to Frodo.

"We can not stay here! This will be the death of the hobbits!" Boromir yelled to Gandalf.

"Frodo?" Gandalf said quietly ignoring boromir's comment.

"We will go through the mines" Frodo answered to everyone.

I moaned lightly with frustration and fear and layed ym head attop of Legolas's warm chest.

"So be it..." Gandalf muttered lightly under his breath.

'You have failed me again Princess Eliana...i am dissapointed in you' that voice said again. 'If the ring barer has decided upon your fate then so be it...the mines will be the death of you Eliana'
