Chapter 18

~Eliana's P.O.V.~

Today was the day, the day that the Fellowship set out of Rivendell to enter a dangerous quest. I knew what was to come of this, and it frightened me. I took a deep breath and began to dress myself in the new dress that I had made yesterday. I carefully placed my mothers circlet on my head and strapped Azda to my waist and my bow, arrows, and long knives on my back. I took another deep breath and exited my room and made my way to the gates of Rivendell. I was the very firsts one there. I waited for about five minutes and I saw Legolas appear first.

"Good morning Eliana..." Legolas said as he took a good look at me. "You look beautiful as ever" Legolas smiled.

Boromir come next with the two hobbits I knew as Merry and Pippin. Boromir quickly froze in his steps and eyes me carefully. I could see his eyes traveling up and down, and I secretly knew that he seemed to be undressing me with his eyes.

"Boromir...if I were you I would keep your distance from Eliana...She is known to be deadly" Gandalf said as he walked beside Frodo, Sam, and Aragorn.

"I still do not believe that Elrond allowed a woman join the Fellowship...it's discraseful" Boromir stated as he walked away.

The last was the dwarf, he came silently without a word as he walked beside Elrond.

"The ring barer is setting out on the quest to Mount Doom...and you who travel with him...no oath nor bond is laid to go further than you will...Farewell...may you hold to your purpose...and may the blessings of elves, man, and your free folk go with you" Lord Elrond said proudly.

"The Fellowship awaits the ring barer" Gandald said as he tightened his grip on his staff.

Everyone looked at Frodo who slowly turned around and walked past the gates and everyone follows Frodo as he goes left. With that our long journey begins as we pass the bridge of Rivendell and spend many days then weeks going through a rocky terrain.
