Chapter 61

~Eliana's P.O.V. ~

Another week has passed, it was filled with hard work and anticipation. I was walking through the halls with Legolas when we heard the sound of cheering hobbits and laughter from Merry, Pippin, Gandalf, and Frodo. I smiled happily and Legolas noticed as well. Frodo was awake. Legolas and I slowly made our way to Frodo's room and he watched happily as we entered the room.

"Legolas! Eliana!" Frodo shouted happily as he bore a proud smile on his lips.

I was happy for Frodo; he no longer had to bear the burden around his neck. He was free from Sauron. Merry and Pippin were on his bed laughing and talking nonstop about finally going home. I walked up to Frodo and placed a kiss on the top of his head and sat on the bed with him. Legolas stood still smiling as the Fellowship was united once more. Aragorn slowly walked into the room and smiled when he saw Frodo.

"Aragorn" Frodo called out happily.

Sadaron entered the room next with a nervous yet happy looking Sam. Frodo's expression fell as Sam smiled lightly when he had seen his friend awake and well. The Fellowship was reunited again, it was a happy moment.

Months have passed and the White City of Minas Tirith was now fully rebuilt. Today was a special day, the day of Aragorn's Coronation. He will become king of Gondor. The courtyard was full of people from Minas Tirith and people from Rohan as well as a few of my people and a few people from Mirkwood who came to see the crowning of the new King.

I watched in awe as Gandalf slowly and carefully lifted the crown of Gondor and placed it on Aragorn's head.

"Now come the days of the king..." Gandalf announced to the group of people. "May they be blessed" Gandalf whispered to Aragorn.

Gandalf slowly stepped down to allow Aragorn to take his place. Slowly Aragorn turned to face the crowd of people. Everyone began to clap and cheer happily as they laid their eyes on their king.

"This day does not belong to one man...but to all...let us together rebuild this world...that we may share in the days of peace" Aragorn announced in a new stronger voice, that of a great king.

Everyone cheered again and I watched as the dryads began to float around the isle creating a beautiful scene as Aragorn began to sing. The crowd died down to listen as their king sang. When finished Aragorn walked down the aisle slowly bowing to Eowyn and Faramir, and then to Eomer. Aragorn then made his way to Legolas and I as we stood proudly with our kin.

I watched as Aragorn slowly bowed his head to me. I bowed my head in return and then embraced Aragorn in a friendly hug. Aragorn then turned his attention to Legolas. I watched happily as they both clasped each other's shoulders and smiled lightly. I smiled when I saw a devious smirk play on Legolas's lips as his eyes averted in a different direction.

Aragorn slowly moved his eyes to a banner being held by an elleth. Aragorn's eyes opened wide as he saw the elleth appear from behind the banner. It was Arwen; Aragorn stared a bit before slowly approaching her. Aragorn slowly took the banner from Arwen's hands and handed it to someone. Arwen quickly bowed her head in respect and Aragorn quickly placed a hand at the bottom of her chin and slowly lifted her face.

Everyone began to clap happily as the two lovers kissed passionately happy to be together once again. Everyone was delighted to see their new queen-to-be with their king. I smiled happily when I felt a pair of hands slowly wrap around my waist. I watched happily as Aragorn and Arwen walked around the courtyard bowing their heads in respect until they came upon Sadaron and the hobbits. They quickly bowed in respect to the King and Arwen.

"My friends...you bow to no one" Aragorn said lightly.

The hobbits and Sadaron looked up and watched as Aragorn bowed low. The courtyard then followed the king's actions and we had all bowed in respect to the hobbits and Sadaron.

I was happy to say that this was all over. As the new day of the fourth age began. Everyone was celebrating with ale, wine, and beer. It was a new age, and a new beginning for everyone. I was perfectly content where I was, but I still needed to do a few things in my life.

"My princess..." Lyana said as she bowed her head with Milana, Sidara, and Sadaron. "When do we return home?"
I looked around and sighed, Legolas was not around me which disappointed me slightly. Still I regained my composure and smiled slightly at
Lyana.

"When do you prefer to head home?" I asked.

"I don't know...I never really made a decision on my own...but maybe after the celebration" Lyana insisted.

I smiled lightly. "Then you have made your choice...you can go home freely...you do not need my approval to go home Lyana...it is your choice...as for me...I will stay a while longer" I said as I looked around again and spotted Legolas speaking with Gimli and Aragorn.

I slowly made my way to Legolas and laced my hand in his. Legolas looked down at me and smiled happily.

"Hello" Legolas whispered playfully in my ear.

"Hello to you too" I replied as I rested my head on his shoulder. ~Let's go to bed Legolas...I'm tired~ I stated in a soft whisper.

"How can you be tired Eliana...the moon has only risen an hour ago" Aragorn stated.

I smiled lightly. "I know Aragorn...but I wish to turn in for the night...I have a lot to think about" I lied.

"Very well...good night Eliana"Aragorn said quietly.

Legolas slowly took my waist in his hands and he took me straight to my room. Once in my room I began to change into my nightgown not caring that Legolas was watching. I actually found it amusing, seeing him eye me lustfully made me laugh on the inside. Legolas wrapped his hands around my waist and gave me a soft kiss before smiling lightly.

"I've been thinking Eliana..." Legolas whispered quietly.

"About?" I asked.

"When I go back to Mirkwood...will you be joining me?"

"Of course I would" I stated.

"Good...because I want to personally tell my father of our engagement" Legolas whispered lightly into my ear.

"Then I will be there when you do" I whispered, matching his tone and I placed a soft kiss on his cheek before going to bed.
