Chapter 41(Read Memo...hint, hint)
~Eliana's P.O.V.~
Sidara was keeping me company as Legolas scouted ahead with two other soldiers. The children around me were laughing and running around cheerfully, but I felt this strange feeling enter my soul. I did not like it, and Sidara noticed that. She quickly floated to my side the minute she saw me.
~What is wrong my Lady?...I can sense your distress~ Sidara asked me quietly, keeping out of Sadaron's and Aragorn's ear shot.
~Something is coming...I can feel it...I can hear very faint cries from the trees in the wind...they warn me of an oncoming danger~ I whispered quietly.
~What dangers? ~ Sidara asked.
~I am not sure...they whisper the name of foul beastly creature~
"A Scout!" I heard Legolas yell from a distance.
Aragorn quickly ran to see what was ahead of the group of migrating people with Sadaron. Aragorn quickly turned back and ran to Theoden while Sadaron ran ahead to help Legolas.
"What is it?! What do you see?" Theoden asked.
"Wargs! We're under attack!" Aragorn yelled loudly.
Hearing this caused the women and children to panic. They were screaming and shouting for their lives, and clinging to their children.
"All the riders to the head of the column!" Theoden yelled.
Arod was quickly given to Gimli who needed assistance to climb onto the horse. I quickly rode off to help Legolas. I had found him along with Sadaron, standing firmly on a large hill shooting arrows at dozens Wargs.
"Legolas!" I called out to him making him looked at me quickly.
"Stay with the women Eliana!" Sadaron shouted quickly.
I looked at him with disbelief. "What?!"
"Just do it!" Sadaron shouted.
"Let her fight! She is stronger than you think" Legolas stated.
"Eliana is important have you forgotten!? Without her our people will suffer" Sadaron retorted.
"Boys...what I do is my choice...I will fight...I will not run and hide with the women and children..." I said quickly shutting them both up. "Now...first one to the battle wins?" I said with a devious smirk playing at my lips.
Sadaron chuckled slightly and Legolas smiled at me playfully. I quickly rode off to face the Wargs and looked behind me quickly. i saw Legolas quickly swing himself on Arod and riding faster to keep up with me. As I rode I quickly shot down warg after warg, making them fall to their feet. It wasn't long before I heard the charging of the other soldiers heading to face the Wargs. Both sided collided with force. A warg jumped on a soldier, knocking him off his very horse. Amaya quickly maneuvered through the Wargs with speed and grace as I shot Wargs quickly. I was caught off guard; a warg had collided with me head on. I had fallen off of Amaya, and Amaya fell on the ground struggling to get up. When I stood on my feet I pulled Azda from her sheath and faced the warg. It was about to pounce on me, but it never did. I saw Legolas quickly pierce the creature with an arrow, killing it instantly. I could only smile happily knowing Legolas had come to my 'rescue'. Legolas nodded his head and rode off. I quickly went to Amaya and found that she was unharmed. I helped her to her feet and mounted her and rode again. Sidara was floating through the wind rapidly, quickly slaying orcs that stood in her way. Soon after there was a mass of Wargs, orcs, horses, and men covering the field. I quickly dismounted Amaya and found Legolas standing with Sadaron. They were looking around for something, or someone.
"Aragorn!" Legolas called out quickly.
"Aragorn!" Sadaron said soon after.
My heart froze. Where was Aragorn? I quickly looked around but I did not see him. That was when I felt a sudden burst of pain in my head. I quickly clutched my head and screamed, this pain was too much. The trees were screaming loudly in the distance. I could not handle so many voices in my head. It was too much, too loud, too violent. I screamed again and this time Legolas and Sadaron were at my side quickly.
"Eliana! What's wrong?" Legolas asked as he took me in his embrace.
"Aragorn........he...he fell" I cried lightly as the pain was going away.
Legolas's body stiffened as he heard this. Then there was the sound of an orcs laughing and coughing. I turned and saw an orc lying close to a cliff.
"Tell me what happened and I will ease your passing!" Gimli threatened as he held his axe at the orcs throat.
"He's dead..." The orc laughed painfully. "Took a little tumble off the cliff"
Sadaron looked enraged. He quickly bent down and roughly grabbed the orc and held his blade at its neck. "You lie!"Sadaron hissed.
The orc only laughed and dropped dead. Sadaron dropped the orcs body and looked in its hands. I saw Sadaron pick up the Evenstar. Sadaron handed the Evenstar to Legolas who only gave it one look before running to the cliff with Sadaron, Gimli, and Theoden. I then heard a faint whisper upon the wind. I gasped when I heard the words "He's alive".
"Get the wounded on horses...the wolves of Isengard will return...leave the dead" I heard Theoden commanded causing Legolas to glare at him. "Come" Theoden said as he went to his horse.
"No" I said. Theoden quickly looked at me with shocked eyes. ~Aragorn is not dead...He is alive...I heard it upon the wind...I have to find him~ I said to Legolas and Sadaron quietly.
~I will go with you then~ Legolas said quickly coming to my side.
~You cannot come with me...who will watch Gimli? Valor knows you cannot leave him unattended~ I said quietly.
~You have Sadaron to look after him~ Legolas answered my question.
~And who will watch Sadaron?...He may be grown but he is not as mature and well mannered as you are Legolas...please...stay here and watch these two...I will return to Helms Deep soon with Aragorn~ I said quickly as I kissed his lips once.
Legolas however thought otherwise, he quickly held to my hand and pulled me to him. He placed his lips on mine and we shared a very passionate kiss. I did not care if it was around the others. I only cared about Legolas and me for the moment. When he pulled away he placed a kiss on my forehead and let me go.
"Come back safely" Legolas said quietly.
"I will" I said as I mounted Amaya and quickly rode off to find Aragorn.
