My phone beeped and I checked it. The call was from Mr.Singh's office and it had been weeks since I had seen him, it was safe to say I was so happy to see him again. I quickly grabbed my coat and made my way to his room.

Once outside his cabin, I raised up my hand to knock on the door but the next second I knew, my hand stilled mid air.

"- Uncle, listen to me please. I can't go. I really can't. I have so many responsibilities here. Not even for a few days. I can't go,please."

"Son, you know it's important. Stop whining. You are a grown up man, you obviously can go."

"Uncle-"

"Stop it son. You're behaving very immaturely. I've called Radhika. She'd be here any minute. She'll knock some brains in that stupid hea-"

"Radhika? N-no don't call her please. We'll solve this ourselves. D-don't call her... "

The voices continued from inside and I swallowed thickly. I didn't like the direction in which this discussion was going to.

Dk had to go somewhere?

I shut my eyes for a moment and took some deep breath then I hesitantly knocked on the door and  entered the room. As soon as I stepped in, the voices came a to a halt. My eyes landed on Mr.Singh who was looking at me calmly and then on Dk who's face had nothing but distraught expressions. His eyes, on the verge of welling up.

"Y-you called s-sir?" I stuttered and Dk shook his head and rubber his hands on his face. I was pretty sure, my wavered speech gave away the fact that I already knew what was going in here. "Thank God, Radhika, you are here. I need your help." Mr.singh said and I tried so hard to keep myself from crying. Dk clearly wanted me to go, I myself wanted to go. I don't think that I'd be able to survive any more of Dk's departures.

"N-no we don't need your help Dr.Radhika, you can go. I'll handle this myself " He said and my eyes instantly landed on him. His voice was stern but his gaze was soft as if begging me to leave this room. I nodded and was about to retreat when Mr.Singh's voice echoed inside the walls.
"

You keep quiet Dk. You're speaking nonsense. Also I am the head of the hospital. I'll decide when she'll go or not." He addressed to Dk but a part of me hurt after listening this. I wasn't a slave was I?

"Radhika"Mr.Singh called and I looked up at him. "Yes sir?" I asked lowly, trying hard to separate my emotions from my speech.

"Beta listen, The West Australian Hospital called me this morning and told me to send Dk back to Australia for a few weeks, you know, for practice. They said that they'll give him extra credit for attending the practices and would  include him in their hospital committee. I was so happy after listening the offer but this stupid person right here says that he'll not go to Australia. What's wrong with going to Australia? It's only for a few weeks or maximum months. It isn't as if he'll never come ba-"

"Uncle stop " Dk shouted and cut off Mr.Singh mid sentence.

But it was too late.
