Chapter Thirteen

~Alison's POV~

*New Years Eve*

Well this is wonderful, tonight is my first New Years kiss. Demi's performing and I can wait with her back stage. This is going to be the best New Years ever. I walked home from shopping which I can do alone now, I bought a special outfit for New Years nothing special really.

I opened the front door, which was hard because I had bags and two hot chocolates in my hand. Ifinally got inside and to the kitchen, I set the hot chocolates down.

It's awfully quiet today, where is Demi? We have to leave in an hour.

"Demi?" I said, my quiet voice echoed through the house. No answer. I furrowed my eyebrows and made my way to the living room, she's probably just listening to music again.

"What the heckare you doing here?" I asked, looking at the woman next to Demi.

"Alison I-"

"No stop. Ialready told you not to interfere with my life, so what are you doing here?" I asked my mother. She kept quiet looking down at her lap.

"Look Alison,you need to reconnect with your mother becau-" Demi started to say, reconnect? No.

"She's evil Demi!" I said staring at the woman, she didn't want me, she's probably needs money and a place to stay, that's why she's here.

" Alison that's enough, she's going to stay here." Demi said dismissing me, what the- no she can't stay here.

"Demi stop this she doesn't want to be here because of me, she just wants money." I said, my mother gasped. Oh how I wish she would choke on her own saliva.

"Alison no she doesn't, now stop this nonsense and go get ready." I sighed, giving my mom a dirty look because running to my room. I got ready, a shower make up and all. I walked downstairs all ready, texting Drew on my way.

"Ok Alison, lets go get Drew and go, of course we're a bit late." Demi said, I nodded as we walked out of the door.

"Where did she go?"I said referring to my mother.

"Back to her place, she will be visiting often." Demi said, I don't blame her for thinking my mother is a poor old lady. Demi 's a really nice person, and can't see through people. No one really can.

"Demi is rocking it!" I said, Demi did some really cool moves as she sang Heart

Attack.

"I know, I can't wait until midnight." Drew teased, I rolled my eyes at how cheeky he was.

"Me either."

"Can I have a quick peck?" Drew asked, I rolled my eyes focusing my eyes in Demi.

"Nope I want to wait until midnight." I said, Drew rolled his eyes and watched me, I know he was. I could see him.

"Enjoying the performance?" I said turning my head towards him, he ripped his eyes off me and focused on Demi.

"Umm yeah." He said nervously, Ichuckled pecking him in the cheek, we watched the rest of the performance in peace. Drew arm hung loosely around my waist.

"Demi there's only a minute left lets go!" I yelled, panicking as I held Drew's hand.

"Ok let's bounce." Demi said applying her lip gloss.

"Bounce?" I questioned her choice of words. She shrugged as the security led us to a closed off area near the ball. Demi applied more lip gloss, I already had some lip balm so I didn't bother.

"Demi who are you kissing tonight?" I teased, Drew ate a mint and I chewed on my own mint gum.

"A very special person." Demi said, Drew and I looked around only to see no one around.

"5...4...3...2...1" everyone chanted, Drew and I turned towards each other, quickly connecting our lips as flashes went off.

I was too focused on Drew to care, I stood on my tippy toes kissing him. after about 30 minutes of making out we pulled away, I bit my lip and smiled.

I heard some weird awkward kissing noises from my left where Demi was, Drew and I Turned towards Demi only to see her hugging herself and pretending to kiss herself.

"Is she..." Drew said, his sentence trailing off.

"Yup," I answered his unfinished question.

That's my New Year's Eve for you, and Demi's oh so special kiss.
