ALISON'S POV
Damn it's been a day after new years and I still can't believe that Drew and I kissed on new years, to think that a year ago I was watching other people kiss on TV on new years and now I have a ''boyfriend'', Demi adopted me, life is good. But there's one thing that is keeping me down....
My mother.
Many people in Pre- school would tell me how much they loved their mother and how much they were there when they needed her. I never did. Well I guess I got something in return, Demi as my mother. Best mother in the world. Why does my old life have to come back and haunt me?
I still don't know why she came back all of a sudden, just coming back into my life like that, I won't accept it. I'm just mad at the fact that she came back into my life when everything was perfect.
She doesn't deserve me.
Its morning and I wake up still thinking about that amazing kiss.
I see Demi all asleep and it's 1 in the afternoon, so I run downstairs and make breakfast.
I make omelets and waffles, I only dropped one egg and burned two waffles, I guess my cooking getting better. I owe Demi a lot, and I guess making her breakfast is the least I can do. Demi has been feeding me a lot lately and making me eat all different kinds of food, and I loved it.
It feels good to eat something else other than a salad and some stupid croutons.
Demi's all awake when I slap that final waffle on her plate.
''Hey Alison! So how was your kiss last night'' Demi whispered to me jokingly.
“How was yours? So romantic….” I teased, she flipped her hair sassily.
“Best kiss of my life.” She said eating her omelet.
It feels awkward to talk about my personal life to anyone, but it's cute that Demi asked.
''Oh my god, these waffles are amazing, thanks!” Demi said, I smiled at her, wow I should become a chef.
“Thanks but don’t think I’m going to do this often.” I said back, grabbing an apple from the counter, I am so healthy. A silence fell across the table.
''So...your mom is visiting tonight for dinner,'' Demi said. I looked her in the eyes, and felt my hatred for that woman resurface.
''WHAT?! I TOLD YOU NOT TO LET HER COME HERE!''
''What's with this tone young lady, this is your mom we're talking about, she's been through a lot, the least you can do as her daughter is to have dinner with her.'' Demi answered to my fuss,
''Don't blame this on me, she left me, she left me in an orphanage! She doesn't deserve me in her life!'' I shouted at Demi while running upstairs to my bed.
I don't want my mom back in my life. She basically lied to me my whole life, and I thought she was dead. How could she think that she could just roll back into my life?
I run to my soft bed and tears just start rolling down my cheeks.
I couldn't do this right now.
Demi comes up to my room and sits next to me.
''Alison! I know it's rough to see your mom come back to you but-'' Demi said while comforting me.
''BUT SHE LIED TO ME DEMI!'' I shouted.
''I know Alison but she's your mother, your biological mother, and you have to give her time to tell her story and get to know her better....look all I'm asking is just one dinner with her and that's it.'' Demi said.
I wiped my tears and said ''Fine, but only this one dinner''.
“I’m proud of you Alison,” Demi said, hugging me, I smiled and hugged back.
*Dinner time*
‘‘Ugh Demi I really don’t want to do this'' I said.
''Well it's too late to change your mind, so suck it up because this is your mother for crying out loud,'' Demi said.
I grunted while changing into a fancy dress because Demi wanted this dinner to be fancy.
‘‘Ugh'' I whisper to myself.
