FORBIDDEN LOVE

by Misty Riosa

She was looking at the bright sky,

Holding her pen; notes on her lap.

Wishing someday it would be fine,

But then, the tears just won't stop.

Same day; same place where they met,

Destiny trapped them in a magical twist.

The swaying of trees and blossom of flowers,

Retell the story of ephemeral bliss.

From thy sweet lips a vow was made,

"I'll love you forever," they both said.

They danced in the rain; together they fly,

Way up, up, up in the mystical sky.

With his guitar he played her songs,

He lovingly brushed her hair with his fingers.

He kisses her forehead; held her hand,

Sweet silly notes given day by day.

He did everything to make her happy,

Even if that meant for him sacrificing.

But one day, he just left her,

Said, "I'm sorry we can't pretend any longer."

Now, the girl was crying on that same spot,

With her pen and notes to write upon.

But, she can't blame him 'cause she already knew,

The love they had was so good to be true.

"I can't give it up, and the same goes with you."

She stroke her pen while remembering his words.

Indeed, they both can't let their faith go,

How bad she wishes for anything... not to choose.

From thy sweet lips a vow was made,

"I'll love you forever," they both said.

They danced in the rain; together they fly,

She'll keep those memories in her heart.
