A poem dedicated to one of my good friends in the writing world...

PAPER PLANES

by Misty Riosa

I could still remember how it started,

the story that developed from leaves of paper.

Where all the secrets and promises are hidden...

Where dreams that we had are all that matter.

I could still remember how it magically happened;

How you and I have found our solace...

How our hearts just perfectly fitted together...

How we started to build our dreams for each other.

I could still remember every memory we had,

I could still remember but why is fate so bad?

It took you away and brought you to the sky...

Just like the paper planes; far away... it allowed you to fly.

You taught me how to be free but why am I now chained?

You taught me to expore but I wanna be still.

I don't wanna let you go; No, I won't let you go.

From my tears... these paper planes are now drowned.
