IV. Indeed A Powerful Thing

I promised myself not to fall;

Not to respond in cupid's call.

Afraid to step out off the crowd,

Running away from the spell of love

I find it hard to escape the truth,

My heart still is not in soothe.

Dark days of the past is hunting me,

Don't know how to end my misery.

I think the life to me was cruel,

That's why I let the hates to rule.

I'm in the dark for so very long,

Wearing my mask not to show my all.

But then again, the fate steps in;

He made some tricks for light to be seen.

My wounded heart that's full of sorrow,

Now healed and treated for new tomorrow.

Just as of now I can't deny,

Indeed a powerful thing is love.

Time heals the pain here deep inside,

And cupid's dart; it hits my heart.

And there he came into my life,

He showed me the way to a happy life.

And now I live my life with love,

With him forever I'll live at last.

Oh, I thank God for he is good,

He gave me love so here I stood.

In front of the altar with my love;

Saying our vows... forever it would last.
