Okay, so this one has a LOT more connected to it that the first one but it's not the same people at all though.
So, keep in mind these people, I have known most of them since 4th grade, I am now in 9th grade.
OKAY, so this whole situation, took place on the school bus, my least favorite place on earth. I sat in the back during that time, and YEAH, you know how that goes. During this time, I wore a wash and go, my hair is right above my shoulders and it's pretty thick (although these specific details aren't necessary for this chapter).
So I put some olive oil in my hair and it made my hair look shiny. This certain girl that got on the bus wanted to test me every day she got on. The oil in my hair got in the seat so, you could see it.
So this girl wanted to play me, ignorantly, "I smell some chicken on this bus." Even though the oil was coconut oil, whatever. I tried to ignore it but I think I remember her friends (including my cousins) were tryna joke and touch my hair. I quickly got fed up and I remember saying something slick. Then she went on acting like I was in the wrong, talking about some, "I know you're not talking to me like that." Girl, get out my face.
Then that afternoon, no one sat in that seat cause of the coconut oil like it was some disease.
Around the last time I road the bus (because I stopped and my mom started driving me like she normally did anyway), I had my hair in a puff. So, I was sitting by myself in the afternoon that day, because my supposed friend wanted to sit with my cousin.
I was just chilling, I wasn't bothering anyone, just on my phone. More than half the bus was off by then. I don't remember everything clearly anymore but I do remember someone "mumbled" something about me. I had no idea what they were talking about and didn't really care.
Then my friend was laughing saying there was something in my hair. I thought it was lint or something so I didn't really care.
Then I leaned over, an eraser fell out of my hair. Everyone including my friend and cousins. THEY THREW ERASERS IN MY HAIR!I was pissed but I didn't say anything. Then one of my cousin who was sitting across from me threw one at my hair because they told her to. Then I threw it back at her and everyone got mad at me.
I was beyond pissed that day, between crying, and knocking someones front teeth out.
The second and I mean second I got off, I ran to my mom's car, threw my stuff and in and ran up to my grandma's front door screaming.
The cousin they told to threw an eraser at me lives right beside my grandma's house and she looked so scared. Then I told my mom and grandma to walk over to her house and I started fussing her out.
Long story short, we had to make up and I kind of got over it.
Someone told the assistant principal and she suggested I sit in the front and I did. I glad she didn't tell them at the time because I was scared of what they would say. Now I can care less. It's old news and I just wanted to tell you guys about it.
I bet the girls were jealous and the two boys that threw it was feeling some way about me. 😉 NAHHH but whatever.
And I will end with a question ..
Would you guys have responded to this situation differently? What would you have done?
love,
black girl ki.
