There is nothing wrong with having a type. Everyone does. If you don't know what a "type" is, it's your preferences for a boyfriend/girlfriend. If you could have a perfect spouse in all, that would be it. Now I hope you know, you can't have the perfect person. AT ALL!
Having a type is okay, I have one too. I prefer a boy that, has curly hair, tall, skinny, dimples, funny but smart and Christian and is loyal. Lord knows that can't all be one boy. If so, something else would probably become an issue.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a type. The problem is what people say about there types.
You can prefer a lighter skinned person, sure no problem. The thing is when some is like, "I like light skin girls/boys because dark skin girls/boys are ugly; disgusting; ghetto; etc."
There is a difference. You don't have to be offended when a girl/boy you like likes someone that's not of you're race or skin tone. I mean, they are just missing out on you. When they insult said race or skin tone, that's the problem and you know, we hear it a lot.
If a black boy says he likes white girls, so be it. If he glorifies white girls over black girls, that's what's wrong. Glorify the person not the race cause everyone in a race isn't the same. 🤷🏽♀️
And I will end with a question ..
What's your type?
love,
black girl ki.
