🗣 Wear What You Want.

Some people think that showing skin is a problem. Hmm, what about your face, your hands? So that's what I want to elaborate on.

Like I said in the previous chapter, I am Christian and you know how that goes. You may be religious, sort of religious, or not at all, but I'm almost one hundred percent you've heard or been in or around a situation in which people talk about the standards of the clothing people (specifically women) should wear.

Okay, so for what I grew up on was, COVER yourself up. Now I know for a fact my parents are as strict as other Christian/religious families. I do wear some, choicey clothing (in the opinions of people from my church). Some of my shirts may not fully cover my 'chestal' area, as I call it. Although, I'm gonna tell you this moment, that telling me you can see titties are just hella annoying. I KNOW, I can feel the breeze there.

To my grandmother, it is shameful to show your stomach. Hmm, now the problem I have there is who came up with the fact that showing your something is something inappropriate? How come that and not your arms or your feet? There is literally nothing sexual about your stomach. Your stomach isn't even a sex organ.

I do no this stems from traditional beliefs of modesty and demureness. Especially with trying to avoid sexual attraction from others which is the person who is looking fault for how they feel and think. I started looking up to see about it when I started to think about what the Bible said.

Now first think about this before I even quote anything. The Bible was not written in English so the translations of the two of probably cloudy. Which is why I think it's an excellent thing to learn the languages in which the Bible originated in (if you're about that stuff or just want to learn more, either one is a great thing). Obviously some words are gonna be translated differently and taught differently.

For example, SLAVERY is always gonna be my number one example of false teaching.

Slave masters used the Bible to make it seem like enslaving Africans was something ridden by God as moral. Yes in fact "slavery" was in the Bible, I'm not even sure if the one originally use was like that, but it was in the KJV I read. It was more explained as a maid or butler, "servant", something of that nature. They were to be treated as family and treated fairly. Even it was explained they all participated is religious ceremonies and partook in rituals that took place.

Absolutely NOT was the slave master did, or at least the majority. No laws were in place for the fair treatment of black slaves. It was not the same, so don't get it twisted by any means.

Anyways so the verse I was talking about.

Exodus 28:42 ESV /

You shall make for them linen undergarments to cover their naked flesh. They shall reach from the hips to the thighs;

The Bible also talks about the covering of the loins, which is what "naked flesh up there." Loins are described here. ⬇️

If loins are what nakedness is, what about breasts

If loins are what nakedness is, what about breasts. Why is it acceptable for a man to be shirtless but not a women. Yeah, they is clearly some difference but what is the thing people cover up nipples. Just about everything but nipples is showing, and a man doesn't do that. So why??

I mean, I'm just taking what I've read. So, I don't know how y'all feel about it. Personally, I think the idea of modesty has been switched around in societies. Something in me also tells me, certain people changed it because of how they feel about themselves. JUST SOMETHING I THINK.

To me, you can were what your want. I personally would not be just about naked, but to each his own.

Then again, when people say, no one wants to see that. Why are you looking and how do you know? Do speak for everyone and that person probably isn't trying to get your attention.

And I will end with a question ..

What do you guys consider acceptable to wear?

love,

black girl ki.
