Hey guys, so I have decided to read The Autobiography of Malcolm X. Before last week, I've thought of Malcolm X as an evil savage honestly. I was also reading this book by John Lewis and he mentioned much of Ghandi and nonviolence and spoke negatively of Malcolm X, like literally, I mean I can't find the exact words but he doesn't agree with him at all.

My mom has always had a book about him and I never read it because I thought so negatively about him

Now I have decided to read this book. Even if I don't agree with his teachings at all (even though I probably will) I still want to read it.

I think reading is so so important because why would it not be. So many times people have threatened education and books. Before the Gutenberg printing press, only the church officials had Bibles and other books, anyone could just make up anything. They also didn't want slaves to have books ... WHY?! because it spreads ideas, information, and the truth.

Please just read, that's probably the smartest thing you can do.
