Today, I want to talk about something that is really relating to current events. The NFL and taking a knee. First off, I think they are doing a great thing. I am sick and tired of it being "shameful" and "disrespectful" to this country and the leader to do what we do. I mean come on, is America a religion? I thought it was about freedom of speech, nobody was violent and no was killed. I can begin to express how any I get hearing what patriots say about this sucky country. Don't even begin to stay move if you disagree because please, who got that type of money.
I was listening to the Rickey Smiley Morning Show this morning and he was talking about how all they are trying to do is silence us and athletes specifically. He was saying how they just want entertainers to do their job and to shut up. Then he also expressed how he gets on Black males for only wanting to be a sports player, a rapper, or a dancer (or a criminal). I agree with how that gets annoying.
Just think though, that's all we really see them as. I think that that is all Black boys think they can be. Funny thing is, I caught another one of my thoughts.
Do you remember the Black zoos they put Black people in? Yeah, we what are all those occupations, entertainment. I'm not saying anything is wrong with those at all but when that's all a people are known as you start to wonder why.
They make us entertainment and they make money off of us, point blank period and that is how it always has been. I cannot believe I just realized that but a lot of things have come to my mind recently. Like, look now, those athletes get hated on for standing --kneeling-- for what they believe it but just be silent and work for us and we'll be fine.
I honestly have never truly liked the NFL (more for the health conditions players are put in EVERY single game) but now, we gotta think about these franchises, companies, businesses, people, etc. what do they stand for?
And I will end with a question ..
