So, guys have you heard about what Ben Carson said? I have been hearing about this all day and I wanted to talk about it.
What he said was, "That's what America is about, a land of dreams and opportunity," Carson said. "There were other immigrants who came here in the bottom of slave ships, worked even longer, even harder, for less." - theroot.com
Now listen to me here, don't listen to that ignorant man (which is ironic considering his many successes). The slaves brought over to America, where in fact, not immigrants at all.
An immigrant is a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence. They come here for a reason and in a sort "willing" (I can not find a more accurate word to put in its place). That is not what the slaves were at all. See, this is what I hate from black and non-black people, especially dealing with interaction with the public, trying to tone down the impact and tragedy of the slave trade.
Ya feel, I just think what he said was ignorant. He is supposed to be really intelligent considering his occupation being a neurosurgeon. I mean what did he learn in his schools. Isn't a history mandatory? He is also a politician so .. what went wrong there.
An educated man, a black man, called slaves immigrants. I mean what in the world. Even if someone else (as in President Trump) told him to say that, you should be smart enough to know how offensive that is and it should've never been said.
I'm sorry but in my opinion, I don't like Ben Carson at all. From the beginning I didn't, I just don't like the vibes he gives off and this is another reason I don't support him.
If you do, to each his own and I understand people are gonna see views differently. I just want yall to take a look at this video and see for yourselves if you haven't already.
And I will end with a question ..
Do you think Ben Carson really made this speech on his own or did someone else tell him to say it?
love,
