Yoo, I'm Kianna. So, I've really been inspired to write this book because of all the things going on it the Black/POC community. I've seen a lot of books but I wanted to start my own and give my own perspective. I will give opinions as well as facts...
What towel you use is soooo important in dealing with moisture and frizz. I've been a natural all my life. I've only know this for the last 1 1/2-2 years and I'm about 15 years old. The difference between a microfiber towel, a typical whatever-fiber towel, you know, those ones from Walmart, that I'm not even gonna pretend like I know the name of and a T-shirt.
So a typical Walmart towel, you know those ones I'm talking about.

That's a no for drying your hair. My Lord, my Lord, my Lord. Those towel, are like the cotton pillowcases and scarfs, they rub against your hair causing fraying and frizz! It dries your hair too much. All those times, I thought I had bad hair. The other thing that can make this worse is how your drying your hair, but I'm not gonna tell you how to dry your hair with these types of towels because I don't want you to do it with this type of towel.
A microfiber towel for what I thought was a good type of towel.

It's a okay towel, okay not really, never mind, not for drying hair it's not. You may see some commercial or ads about microfiber towels for hair but here's the problem I have with it. I washed microfiber washcloths in the washing machines then drying it, a piece of material from just about every item of clothing in there with it was stuck to it.
I was wondering about it and why should it do that but other towels don't. I found out that something similar to that can happen to your hair. Guess what? Another way for split ends to happen! I'm telling you everything is coming for you Ends.
So I learned what the best one to use was a seventeen five, same color, T-shirt. If you use it right, it's pretty cool with your hair. It doesn't cause split ends or frizz or tension. Just make sure your dry your hair right or it can absorb more moisture than you need it to. I'll tell you how to dry it right because I actually want you to use this one or a material just like a seventeen five, same color, T-shirt, you feel?
It's really truly simple, don't just rub it all through, PAT it in your hair and if needed to wrap it around turban style. Just be careful how long you do it. That's it though. So YEAHHHHHHH.
