Chapter 3

Lauren POV

   My heart skipped a beat. Camila was calling me! Why? Did she finally realise that we were meant to be and that Bryce, the son of a bitch was a good for nothing cheatin scumbag and that he needed to go. 

   I instantly picked up the phone and put my ear to hear her voice. 

"Hello?" I heard her. It felt as if she was right next to me. In the same room as me. OH I MISSED YOU!

"Camila? Hi." I said, blushing all over the place. 

"Hi Lauren. I uh... I want to apologize for ignoring you." she said. 

"No it's fine. I should be sorry, acting like that in front of him." I said, feeling slightly embarrassed thinking about what had happened when I first met him. 

"It's cool. We don't have to worry about him anymore. I broke up with him." 

   I huge grin spread across my face. He was gone! She finally came to her senses to let him go. PRAISE THE LORD! I felt almost like throwing myself out of the window. Was this is a hoax? 

   "Oh... I'm sorry." I tried feeling sorry for her, to hide the exhuberant feeling travelling my insides. 

"It's fine. He was annoying anyway." I heard her snort. Was she crying? WHY WAS SHE CRYING! Don't cry Mila, I'm here for you, I thought as I heard her voice break when she tried to say something. She was making small sobbing noises from the other end of the phone. The exhuberant feeling I had felt before faded away eventually. Ally was right, she was happy with him. 

"Mila? What's wrong?" I asked. 

"Nothing. It's absolutely nothing." I heard her snort again when she answered me. 

"Do you want me to come over?" I asked almost instantly. What was I doing?! I was probably the last person she wanted to see. 'Hello?' I called just as I thought the long pause was getting too long. I looked at my phone to see my home screen was looking back at me.

   She hung up on me. 

Camila POV

   I couldn't let her hear me cry like this. Why was I crying? I already told Ally I didn't care about him. But here I was, crying my eyes out over nothing. 

   I wanted Lauren. I wanted her to be next to me to hug me and to keep me company. But that would make me want her more. That would make me fall in love with her even more. I couldn't have that! I can't have her around me anymore. I have to forget everything that I've ever felt for her! I can't be with you Lauren, I'm sorry. 

Lauren POV

   Who else to call but Ally after this great moment! I quickly dialled Ally's number and waited to hear her reply. 

"Hello?" I heard her say.

"Hi Ally!" I said, feeling a little bit excited. 

"You heard the news, didn't you?" Ally asked. Nothing was heard for some few seconds until we both laughed. 

"Yes I did!" I said, with a huge grin spread across my face. 

"Who told you?" she questioned. 

"Camila. It was a bit awkward though." I told her my conversation with Camila and how it ended because of her hanging up on me. 

"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know what's running Camila's mind right now but try to patch things up with her. I don't want you guys to end on a bad note. That would ruin... you know." she said before chuckling. 

"Shut up!" I said playfully, laughing as well. 'Fine. I'll try to patch things up with her.' 

"Good. Now..." Ally said. I sighed. 

"What now?" 

"Are you... gonna call her now?"

"Now?"

"Yeah now." I groaned. 

"Do I have to?" 

"Yes!" Ally cracked up. I groaned again. 

"She might not pick up."

"If she doesn't, she'll have to talk to me." I chuckled. 

"You're not scary Ally." 

"I might be tiny but I'm a ninja! WHATCHA!" we both chuckled. 

"Fine, I'll talk to her then."

"Good! I'll leave you to it." I rolled my eyes. 

"Bye Ally!"

"Bye Lauren. LOVE YOU!" I hung up. 

   I looked at my contacts and scrolled down to Camila's name. I stared at her name for some few minutes. Should I diall it? I had told Ally that I was going to call her but I didn't know whether or not she'll pick up. Will she? 

   I sighed and called her.
