I'm falling, falling, falling all over again.

My vision blurs and I immediately want to throw up. My heart starts beating faster and my first attempt to get up ends with my arms being kicked from under me, and I land on the ground with a defeaning thud. My ears start ringing.

"You little freak!" she hisses. I choke back a sob, and watch as the other girls walk away, laughing with each other. I spit on the ground behind them.

And then from some unaccessed part of my emotions come a foreign one, bravery.

I hurry to my feet. "Hey!" I yell, she whips around at the sound of my voice. A dark grin spread across her face.

"You want more dirt face?" She taunts, my hands ball up in fists at my sides.

"Yeah!" I respond, her laughter sounds like strangled shrieks . "You're telling me you want to get pummeled again?!"

When we're a foot away from each other, she cackles. "You really are as stupid as-" She's cut off when my fist flies straight into her nose. She howls and blood begins to pour out, she covers her nose with her hands as she falls.

"You'll pay for this Jones!" She sobs, her friends rush over and she gets back on her feet. I swallow the lump in my throat. My hands are still in fists and I'm shaking.

One of her friends glares at me, but I stand my ground. "Leave me alone!" I shout and they all back up.

"Go find a teacher!" She barks at one of them and practically snarls at me. "You're in for it now."

I do the only thing I can do, I turn on my heel, and run.
