The end of Dani (or Ellie) and Abby

Dani's POV

I had been spending most of my time at home, my Mom grounded me and I wasn't allowed to go to any parties for a whole month! Talk about over reacting! I got drunk one time, and spent the night at Lizzy's. When she found out she flipped, and that's when I got grounded. At least I wasn't smoking pot with the rest of them! I was responsible!

Now my grounding is finally over (as is exams) and I couldn't be happier. Will and I have french and drama together, and it's really cool. When we get together, it's like we just have no control and go crazy. Cracking jokes and mouthing off.

He does get me into trouble, but it's nothing serious and it's not my fault the french teacher hates us! She just doesn't like the two of us together that must be it. Will and I also have drama together, which is cool except, Abby's in that class. Which is pretty awkward. I can sometimes see her staring at Will and I, and I just shrug at her. "Whatever" I would mouth and then laugh at his jokes.

Lizzy says Abby's weird, so we can't chill with her.

"Have you seen her hair? It's like the eighties ended over twenty years ago!"

"I always thought it was pretty, it's all natural you know"

"Whatever she's such a geek. Valerdictorian that's what she is. And she spends all her time playing hockey. She's not a boy. She could do to dress up a little"

"Hockey's cool" I say and Lizzy laughs. "Not for a girl. What guy would like her?"

"A great guy" I say and Lizzy scoffs. "As if, the girl could do to dress up a little"

"I like her style" I whisper.

"Jesus, what are you in love with her? Look if you're going to hang with her, you can't hang with me. Your choice"

I don't understand why people don't like Will. He's so sweet and funny. But when I talk to my team mates they all say the same thing, "Will Hansen is a player and an a** hole. He doesn't care about anyone but himself"

Could I be the person to see past that?

Today, I walk down the hall and see Will talking to Lizzy. They've been talking a lot lately, and it's weird he never texts me that much anymore.

"Hey guys" I greet them and Will smiles at me. Lizzy narrows her eyes. "Why are you wearing that?"

I look down at my outfit. It's one of my lacrosse t-shirts, and a pair of jeans. "What?" I ask her.

"Seriously a lacrosse shirt? You know we don't dress like that in our group"

"I like it" adds Will.

"Well I don't" says Lizzy. "Don't wear it to school again". Then she laughs at another joke Will makes. Well then.

"Oh and Dani is so guyish, I think we should call you Ellie." she says. She wants to change my name?

"Um sure" I tell her.

I can see Abby out of the corner of my eye, she's at the other end of the hallway talking to some cute guy with curly brown hair. Does she like him? Abby never has any crushes. But I can see her smile and blush, and I know she likes this guy.

I decide to take a leap of faith, and stride over to them.

"Hey" I greet her, and her eyes go wide at me. "Hey Dani" she says kind of quietly.

"What's up?" I ask her and look at the guy. He's cute. "Who's this?"

"My name's Taylor" he says and reaches out to shake my hand. I can see Will staring out of the corner of my eye, and I grin at him.
