Mel's POV

"Oh, so this is how it is?!" I exclaim, sounding fairly sarcastic. Jason pulls away from Josie abruptly.

"Mel! I.." he starts, but I cut him off. "No, f*ck you, shut up" I tell him and he looks hurt. As if he's the one who should be hurt right now...I turn to Josie.

"You whore! Who the f*ck does this? What the hell?!" Do you have any morals? Like at all?!" I've never sworn this much in my life.

"Oh please Mel." she scoffs."I get what I want, and I have fun doing it."

I feel my blood boil from anger. "Stay in your lane b*tch." I seethe at her, and take a step towards her. She doesn't back away.

"What the f*ck is wrong with you?!"

"You have to admit, Jason never liked you. It was always me, I mean look at you and look at me. There's a reason I'm popular and you're not."

"Oh really is that it? A popularity contest?!" I can feel myself shaking in my sneakers.

"You're fat and you're ugly. You're so overrated and think you're so smart and amazing! Guess what Mel?! The world doesn't revolve around you!" She shoves me, and I fall on my hands.

"Mel!" Jason reaches for me, but I brush him off. I dust my hands on my hands. I've never been in a fight before. There's a first for everything.

"Hit me back." Josie taunts. I raise my fists, when she opens her own up and claws at me. I sink to the floor, dragging her with me against the lockers.

"F*ck you!" I scream, she pulls at my hair, and scratches my face.

"Stop!" Jason yells over the two of us, but we don't. I grab Josie's hands, and use them to push her on the floor. I hear someone run away. Must be Jason.

I turn my head to see if it's him, when she grabs it and pulls me down to the floor. I try to push her, and her teeth clamp on my hand.

"What the f*ck?! You bit my f*cking hand!" I roll away from her, and stand to my feet. I quickly glance at small slits her teeth made on the back of my hand, I can see blood surfacing. Josie stands to her feet, and I can hear her panting over the pounding in my head.

"Hit me you f*cking loser!" she screeches. Her perfect hair is mess around her head, and she looks disfigured.

"Hit me!" she repeats, but I shake my head. Making sure I have a good distance from her.

"I'm not going to fight you any longer. You aren't worth it." I stand with my hands at my sides, and she straightens her position.

"Why not?" she asks, and I can tell she's starting to calm down.

"I feel sorry for you, this is how you find security. By hurting other people, you're a sad excuse for a human being and someday I hope you learn what that really means." I don't think she can comprehend what I'm saying, but it needs to be said.

"You're going to die alone." I tell her through my shortened breath. "And you'll always wonder why nobody stayed."

Jason runs downs the hall, with Mr. Dionne (our principal) following behind him. Mr Dionne interrupts her. "Josie! What are you doing?!" she jumps away from me.

"Nothing sir, Mel had something on her shirt." Josie lies in a sickengly sweet voice. "I just wanted to help her out is all."

"What?!" I yell at her.

"Sir you've got it wrong!" Jason says behind him. Oh shut it you prick, even if you are defending me.

"I'll decipher things for myself Mr Mathers." he says. "Come along girls, we have some talking to do."
