Dani's POV
After Thomas's speech, the crowd eventually thinned out, Mrs Jonathan decided that the play should be cancelled for the good, on account of our train wreck of opening night.
Later that week, we rewarded ourselves with a pizza party, it was an executive decision (facilitated by myself) not to invite Will.
I've ignored every text and phone call from Will for the past three days. He's not in any of my classes and I've been going out for lunch on my own. What concerns me the most, is that ignoring him has been a lot easier then I thought it would be.
I haven't broken up with him, I don't know if I want too. For now, I've just pulled away from him.
Maybe the worst part is that he hasn't tried to approach me, at all. Is that out of respect for me? Or is because he can't man up?
Another thing that concerns me, is the utter guilt I've been feeling for ignoring Jeremy.
He tried texting me, even using the walkie talkies. But I just can't talk to him, not after what happened at the play.
Maybe I'm overdramatizing it, but all he did was add to the disaster the play was, and then he has the balls to be proud of it?
We were supposed to be taking this seriously! I wanted to put this on a resumé.
After about two days he stopped. I don't know if that's how far he's willing to chase me, or if I'm just being a hormonal teenage girl.

"How is this a Christmas party?" I ask Lizzy. She shrugs as we approach the door. I notice her tug down her black skirt. How is she even wearing that in the cold? I'm glad I stuck with jeans, a somewhat nice shirt and light jacket for today.
"Maybe they just want an excuse to get wasted." Of course they do, they're self obsessed party animals.
I shouldn't be thinking this, they are my friends.
The party started an hour ago, but we chose to show up at JP's house now. 'Fashionably late' I believe Lizzy called it.
We walk inside, arm in arm.
JP strides up to me, flashing me a wide grin.
"Thirsty?" He asks and hands me a red cup.
"No I'm okay." I hand it back to him, and he looks slightly hurt.
"Okay then. How about some water?" He asks.
"Sure." I answer, trying to sound sweet. This whole situation is making me uncomfortable.
He jogs out of the room, and Lizzy wiggles her eyebrows at me suggestively.
'Stop' I mouth, and backhand her arm.
JP walks back in, pushing pas a few people. He hands me a red cup. I look inside, and sure enough it's water.
"Thanks." I smile at him. He smiles in return.
JP, Lizzy and I go through the house, headed for the living room.
It's really nice, with a gigantic tv against the wall, and a fireplace underneath it. The couches follow the course of the wall, and people are dancing in the centre of it.
"Hey Ellie." Terrence smiles at me, along with Allison. She's in a tight, low cut, short black dress with Terrence's arm around her. "Haven't seen you in a while. How's it going?"
"I'm okay, just hanging around."
"Obviously." scoffs Allison. "You've been ignoring us for weeks, and now you finally show up to a party after you hang out with geeks. Guess you realized who you're real friends are."
