Mel's POV

I head over to Eileen's house. It's about a street away from mine.

She's waiting for me in the driveway, wearing all black and holding a carton of eggs.

"You sure egging his house is a good idea?" I ask and she shrugs.

"It was all I could come up with on short notice"

"Short notice?" I laugh. "I gave you a week?"

"I have a life outside of scheming!" She protests and I laugh.

"Yeah, okay" I shake my head and she grins. "It's going to get dark soon, we should head inside"

"Okay"

An hour later, Eileen and I stand outside his house. It's almost pitch black out here. I notice there's no cars in the driveway, thank goodness. This is stupid enough, I've never pictured I'd be doing this.

She opens the carton, and I use my phone for light.

"I think the crazy ex should get the honour of the throwing the first egg, agreed?"

"Agreed" I take one out of the carton, and hold it in my hand. I pause for a minute, and pitch it at the garage door. It splatters, and I can just see the yoke it under the street light"

"There's a party tonight" she says, and I raise an eyebrow. She throws another egg at the garage.

"Who's hosting?" I ask and pull an egg out. I hold it in my hands.

"Ryan" she tells me. I nod, if it was Josie's party, forget it.

"Should we go?" She asks.

"Yeah" I answer. "It'll nice for me to stop looking like such a loser"

"Mel James and Eileen Johnson Corr Public School's resident losers" she jokes, and I elbow her. I throw another egg, and watch all the yoke mix.

"Very funny" I tell her.

"I just want him to say sorry" I mumble to Eileen.

"Yeah I get it" she says, and whips another egg at his house. She pulls another carton out of her backpack. We continue to throw the eggs at the garage. It looks like yokey mess.

"I don't even care anymore" I mumble.

Pretty soon we've gone through the entire carton.

"This is stupid" I tell her. She laughs.

"Hey!" someone screams. "What are you doing?!"

"Go!" Eileen hisses at me, and we tear down the street.

______________

Thankfully, we didn't get caught. Eileen and I raced home, panting.

I put my hands on my knees, and try to catch my breath.

"Man I'm out of shape" I gasped and Eileen did the same.

"We" she breaths. "Should" she exhales "Never do that again" she says that in one breath, and opens the front door.

Eileen and I walk in to her house. It's a lot like mine, layout wise. The only difference is the furniture obviously.

I walk in, and set my jacket on the rack.

"Alright" says Eileen. "This is our first actual party and we're going to look hot, so let's go raid my sister's closet."

I half smile. "Okay, let's hope she doesn't get too mad this time"
