The next day after their family had a big sit down discussing the rules Layla was looking at a dress in the dress store. Kol walked up beside her with a smirk. "Oh sister that looks possibly scandalous." Kol grinned nudging Layla who smiled up at him.
"Exactly why I like this century, give Elijah and Fin a fit while indulging in my own pleasure. What do you think Kol?" Layla asked with mischief picking up the dress. Kol leaned over looking over the dress and then scanning the room his eyes settling on a blonde girl.
"I think I'd prefer it on her but I'm sure someone will appreciate it. It's quite tasteful." Kol informed her with a shrug and Layla picked it up walking with Kol to the suits area.
"Lucky you mens fashion hasn't seemed to change in about a couple hundred years." Layla shrugged as Kol picked out a tux and they bought their clothes walking out of the store. As they walked down the streets Layla stopped veins appearing under her eyes.
"You seriously hungry again? We just ate." Kol informed her amused.
"Well I'm not like you Kol. You forget that." Layla pointed out handing Kol her bag and walking over to a man pulling him into the alleyway sinking her teeth into his neck draining him dry and throwing the body in the bin. She then walked back to Kol and the two sped home. When they got home Layla poured herself a glass of wine as Rebekah had convinced her to get her fingernails done.
"Rebekah, Layla, tell me how handsome I am." Kol tried with a satisfied grin after he'd gotten his tuxedo altered. Rebekah smiled up at him looking at her fingernails.
"Oh Kol you know I can't be compelled." Rebekah retorted as Fin smirked looking over at Kol fondly. Layla chuckled as Kol turned to look over at her.
"You know I don't lie to family brother." Layla joined in on the teasing making Fin let out a small laugh and Elijah smirked over at her looking up from his shoe. Just as the nice family moment begun Klaus stormed in with his dramatics.
"You went after Elena." Klaus accused Rebekah. Layla's brows furrowed looking over to Rebekah.
"Doppelganger a very bland one at that." Rebekah informed Layla who nodded returning to her wine.
"What is wrong with you?" Klaus asked.
"Here we go." Rebekah smiled up at him.
"Do you want another dagger in your heart?" Klaus threatened.
"Again with the dagger threats don't you have any other tricks?" Kol asked smugly trying to get a rise out of Klaus who turned to him with a sneer.
"Oh go back to staring at yourself." Klaus spat in a foul mood as usual from what she remembered.
"Who are you my father?" Kol asked amused.
"No Kol but you are in my house." Klaus grit through his teeth stalking up to Kol.
"Then perhaps we should take it outside." Kol offered coolly not backing down. Layla smirked at Kol's antics that never really got old.
"Enough Niklaus come." Esther ushered Klaus out of the room. Layla chuckled looking at Kol with a bright gleam of darkness in her eyes.
"My bets were on you winning brother." Layla encouraged him. Kol grinned walking up to her stealing her wine finishing it off and he made a pleasured face.
"Mixing your alcohol with your snack? Naughty Layla." Kol teased walking out of the room. Rolling her eyes Layla got up walking to her bedroom applying her makeup when she heard a knock come at her room. Turning around and opening it she saw Elijah there.
