Layla was sitting in her big old house. Caroline stormed into the house dropping some bags and handing her a letter. She took it looking it over and raising an eyebrow up at Caroline who gave her a peppy grin. "You want money?" Layla asked teasingly with a small smile.

"Yes I want money. Well or a present. I do love your dresses. I also wanted to warn you, Elena kind of wants to kill you." Caroline pointed out with a cringe. Raising an eyebrow up at Caroline, Layla drew in a lazy sigh putting down the note and knocked back a drink.

"And why should I care? I'm a thousand years older than her and the only thing that can kill me is a steak." Layla pointed out. Thinking it over Layla looked up to Caroline with an annoyed frown. "She has the steak?" Layla snarled.

"Sorry? She doesn't know where you are. I've stalled." Caroline almost squealed.

"Again I'm a thousand years older than Elena. I doubt the sappy little orphan could beat me." Layla grinned in satisfaction as Caroline looked at her with her mouth ajar but shrugged it off. If Elena killed her mother, she'd be super pissed at Elena as well. But she'd hate to think if Elena was involved in the death of her two brothers. If she had any. "So tell me Caroline what is high school like?" Layla asked.

"Awful but it was fun, all the dances and stuff like that." Caroline shrugged with a small smile to Layla.

"Well I might as well go on a Katherine hunt; all things considered Katherine is too cocky for her own good." Layla shrugged getting up and walking out. Once Layla found Katherine, thanks to Stefan's handy text she walked down into the Lockwood cellar. Frowning at the fact she'd ruin her shoes Layla stormed forward and finally saw Bonnie who was screaming in pain. "Where is Katherine?" Layla asked bending down to Bonnie.

"She's in the boiler room." Bonnie screamed out. Smirking Layla sped over to the boiler room and saw Katherine with her face against a hot pipe. Layla then gripped Elena's hair throwing her to the ground.

"This keeps getting better. Layla, you killed my brother." Elena yelled standing up grabbing the white oak stake. Layla growled as Elena started on her but Layla gripped Elena's heart and grabbed the white oak and shoved Elena to the ground.

"Heard you were trying to kill me. Seriously what? You've been a vampire for 5 seconds and think you can take on the big boys? You're still in the cradle." Layla sneered looking to Katherine and nodding.

"Thanks for the save old friend." Katherine nodded speeding away.

"You have done nothing but suck the happiness out of my life." Elena yelled going to punch Layla in the face. Layla let out a dark chuckle grabbing Elena's throat in a crushing grip.

"I think you did that to yourself Elena. And you know what? You killed two of my brothers. If all your other family wasn't dead I'd be sure to have compelled them to have a prolonged and gruesome death." Layla growled as Stefan rushed in.

"Layla let her go." Stefan ordered. Layla then threw Elena to the ground.

"Only because you asked nicely. If doe eyed orphan Annie comes at me again...I won't be merciful." Layla spat pushing past Stefan and speeding away. Once Layla made her way back to the house she leaned back into the couch. The veil had been dropped for a short moment. Dead supernatural were coming back. Kol was probably off getting revenge. A knock came at her door. Getting up Layla opened the door seeing Stefan who gave her a soft smile.

"Elena, she was reunited with Jeremy her brother. Someone she hasn't gotten to say goodbye to. Now everyone wanted me bury him in a cement grave but then you came to my mind. You never got to say goodbye. No one was looking out for you making sure you were okay. So say your goodbyes." Stefan nodded to her holding up Kol and giving her him. Layla looked at Kol breathlessly and she took Kol placing him inside. She then walked back over to Stefan. Wrapping her arms around him tightly she felt a tear fall slowly down her face.
