"The Hollow has been haunting New Orleans for centuries. It's an unending evil; it's appetite for power is insatiable." Vincent explained to the Mikaelson as they stood in a room. Layla huffed wanting to get to the point.

"Sounds like my blood lust, but I'm missing the point so can you make the point clear or are we going to play a guessing game?" Layla sasses out meeting Vincent's unappreciative gaze.

"I have a plan but you're not going to like it. Step one we pull the hollow out of Hope, step two we find someplace else to put it. But with the book gone I need a place that's both powerful and eternal. And in order to make the transition work I'm going to need something that's connected to Hope through blood." Vincent explained and Layla felt herself pale as she stood next to Freya.

"You need a vampire." Freya muttered sternly.

"More like you need an original vampire." Layla pointed out with a frown.

"One of you isn't going to cut it. I'm going to need five of you." Vincent called out and Layla looked away from Vincent as she remembered his words. It was going to be the end of always and forever.

"Why five of us?" Elijah asked.

"Well 1500 years ago when the Hollow was first destroyed, they divide her remained five bones, five protectors and five different locations, that's how we're going to beat the hollow now." Vincent explained to them.

"Transfer the power into five immortal vampires." Freya muttered.

"And then just send us on our way?" Rebekah asked not liking the plan.

"If we go through with this, we can't be in the same place as each other." Layla breathed out feeling her heart fall heavy.

"So the evil is drawn split and separated for all time?" Klaus bitterly inquired.

"You all have to go your separate ways and remain separate for all time." Vincent spat pointing to all of them. "You can never see each other again, you can never go near each other again. That is the only way we can beat the hollow."

"Well if it'll save my little girl so be it." Klaus muttered not liking it as much as the next. They all walked out to prepare what they were going to do. Elijah walked up grabbing Layla and pulling her into a room.

"I wished to talk with you at some point. I hadn't talked with you since you pulled me out of my own mind. I wish to apologise for feeding on you and hurting you, and I also wish to apologise for the feud which lasted 700 years." Elijah called out regrettably meeting Layla's gaze. Layla nodded slowly feeling regret for the past years she'd spent hating him.

"Almost seems as if we wasted so much time. We spent so much time fighting and arguing, that we didn't do enough. I never thought I would feel this. As if I didn't have enough time with you. But I love you Elijah, despite all our failings. I never realised how much I wasted, until I actually lost you. I've never been good at regretting my actions but lately it seems I'm moving up in the world, one of the hardest things I will ever have to go through is leaving my family, leaving you right in the moment I am just beginning to mend our fractured relationship. You were the first to promise me always and forever, and so I in this moment promise you always and forever even after forever ends." Layla promised with as she tried to hide the sadness welling up inside her as she pulled Elijah into a tight hug.

"You do not hate me for the monster you saw?" Elijah asked.

"How could I? It would be wrong of me to hate you for the monster you are when I was always the worst of us. Despite all the love and all the pain you are my brother, and from now on...I can never say again that I wish only bad things on you. But we have to get ready, again, I only wish we had more time. 1000 years seems to short." Layla breathed out letting a small laugh slip as a tear cascaded down her cheek and she turned away quickly calling Kol telling him what they needed to do.
