The next day Layla walked into the bar getting a shot poured for herself. She then saw Stefan drinking alone. Layla swayed her hips walking up to him and sitting next to him smirking. "There is something different about you today." Layla commented looking over him.

"My brother slept with Elena who is sired to him." Stefan replied to her with a frown.

"Oh sounds disgusting. This is why I'd never do brothers, it's too unnecessarily messy." Layla pointed out and Stefan nodded with a small smirk.

"I get it you don't really do attachments." Stefan sighed.

"I do attachment, just not with people I've been given a reason not to trust, this extends to family." Layla pointed out.

"Of course," He sighed.

"You are in a ripper mood, trust me, I know my ripper moods," Layla stated with a smirk.

"You would look I would prefer to be alone" Stefan tried to get rid of her.

"Hmm alright I have better things to do with my time." Layla commented getting up and walking to the exit. Once she got out of the bar she saw Kol standing across the road smiling at her. Layla sped across the road hugging him tightly smirking up at him. "What are you doing back in town? Sick of new York without me?" Layla teased.

"No I heard they were looking for the cure, ever heard the stories about Silas?" Kol asked with a raised eyebrow. Layla's eyes widened backing up.

"Silas?" Layla asked fear rising in her chest.

"Yes, meet me at the school in 5 minutes." Kol ordered and Layla stopped him for a moment.

"You look like shit, thought I should point it out." Layla shrugged before speeding off and Kol did the same. She then walked into the school when she heard someone talking. Walking to where the voices came from she opened the door looking confused at the gathering of girls and Stefan. "What the hell is this sister? Breakfast at Tiffany's or the gossip girls breakfast club?" Layla snarked amused.

"Shut up Layla, I'm getting answers since no one is honest in this town." Rebekah spat as Kol appeared next to Layla.

"Sister you are even worse than Niklaus." Kol laughed with a grin.

"Kol, finally, did you bring what I asked for?" Rebekah asked. Kol then shoved Shane into the room shutting the door. "You must be Shane." Rebekah grinned. Layla then walked around.

"Stefan, Elena, Rebekah and who are the two others?" Layla asked.

"April my friend, and Caroline, Niklaus' obsession." Rebekah informed her walking off with Kol. Layla grinned between them as April left.

"Caroline huh? Didn't expect you to look like this." Layla sighed out.

"And how did you expect me to look?" Caroline snapped.

"I don't know, Nik's had a fondness for redheads in the past." Layla shrugged.

"Who are you?" Caroline asked.

"Oh right I'm the least known sibling. Layla, the better looking sister" She introduced herself holding her hand out which Caroline shook confused. Layla then smiled over to Stefan. "Second time today, lucky me." Layla flirted raising her eyebrows. "Nice to meet you Caroline, nice to see you again Stefan and never a pleasure Elena; I don't do romance drama." Layla pointed out getting out of her seat and walking out of the room and Rebekah walked in. She then saw a boy running through the hall. Shrugging it off she leaned against the locker playing a game on her phone. Rebekah soon walked out grinning she then walked into the same room where Kol was torturing the person. Layla happily ignored what was going on. Once she heard someone screaming Layla walked into the room with Kol and Rebekah firmly shutting it. "I didn't fancy being dog food tonight." Layla snarled leaning against the door she then noticed the dead Shane.

"You should be thanking me," Kol spat.

"You killed my only chance at finding the cure." Rebekah bit back.

"Silas on the loose would be hell on earth." Kol tried to convince Rebekah. He then got out the white oak steak tossing it around. "And quite frankly sister I don't think you can handle it." Kol commented as Rebekah's expression grew weary.

"How did you get that?" Rebekah asked.

"Way too easily." Kol grinned down at her and went to walk out. Layla and Rebekah following after him.

"Why is he dead?" Layla asked.

"He wants Silas to rise." Kol informed Layla who looked to Rebekah.

"He's more than just a bedtime story Beks at least try to be smart about this." Layla sighed out.

"Of course you would take his side; the homicidal maniacs have to stick together." Rebekah shrieked to them storming off. The two siblings looked at each other before walking away from the school.

"Where are we going Kol?" Layla huffed with annoyance. Kol just grinned handing Layla the steak. Layla looked up to him confused.

"Rebekah knows I have it, she'll tell Niklaus and he'll steal it from me. And I know you'd never hurt me the way they would. And Nik always had trouble keeping up with you in a fight. You'll have my back through it all right?" Kol asked watching her carefully and then Layla looked up at him pursing her lips.

"We stick together as one, always and forever." Layla repeated the words Elijah had once spoken to her. Never Klaus and never Rebekah, Fin had loved his sister Layla but not as much as he should have. He just wanted to stop being a vampire. Layla had always been closest with Elijah and Kol, with Elijah it was odd. He wanted to save her like he did with Klaus. But with Kol, they shared a mutual interest and longing. "You can trust me." Layla nodded with a small smile.
