When Layla got back to New Orleans from her visit to Mystic Falls she exited the airport. She went straight to her mother eyeing her coldly. "I heard about your offer." Layla commented strongly holding her head up high.

"And?" Esther asked with a condescending smile.

"I want to hear it from you and not from the brother I love." Layla stated walking closer to Esther playing with some herbs.

"I want to place you in the body of a witch; she's a great witch, from a powerful ancient coven and beautiful. I have watched over you for a long time child, you've been happiest when you were blissfully in love, to an honest and kind love. You my most cynical and reckless child. But you were happiest doing the simplest of things. I watched your heart break for the first time when you were human, finding out you were barren, just like I was. I watched you turn to dark magic, I watched you turn to expression in your grief of never being able to have a child. It pained me to watch you turn to something so dark. That's why the ancestors punished you, turned your pure bleeding heart into a sadistic ripper. I watched you fall in love twice, both with two men, one a kind human and the other a pure hearted ripper. I want you to be able to have a child, be fertile and know kindness of mortality and joy of humanity and magic." Esther sent her sales pitch. Layla's eyes began to well up as she pushed down her emotions. "You were the child I worried least about. You were always a fighter."

"I have one condition." Layla demanded.

"And what is that?" Esther asked.

"I want to destroy my body. The body that had failed me when I was human." Layla spat with disgust.

"And you will be granted that." Esther agreed as she then moved and they began to perform the spell. Layla gasped upon waking. Looking down at her olive arms she pushed herself up her eyes meeting her mothers who smirked at her. Layla then looked down at her body narrowing her eyes and grabbing the white oak she then turned around to Esther.

"Asinta mulaf hinto" She spat with venom sending Esther to her knees clutching her head in pain as her nose and eyes began to bleed. Layla then held her hand over her original body. "Ischeznut" Layla commanded as the body disappeared and she held the white oak tightly in her hand walking out of the cemetery and down the long street. Walking into her bedroom she hid the white oak steak and decided to look in the mirror. She knew the girl but she'd never analysed the body truly. Her eyes were a light blue/green, her hair a long straight brown and her skin olive tanned and she was of a muscular build. Simply beautiful compared to her old body. Turning around she noticed Klaus who stood there wide eyed.

"Who are you?" He demanded to know.

"Layla, I got the body swap. Don't worry Nik; my body is in a safe place." Layla smirked hearing whispered all around her. Klaus looked at her with a murderous gleam.

"The white oak steak is gone." Klaus informed her.

"It's in a safe place don't worry Nik." Layla smirked her lips turning up as she sauntered out of the room.
