Chapter 33: "It was always fun watching you pine"

SEASON 3:

FLASHBACK:

Sinking her protruding fangs into the neck of her 5th man for the day she let out a groan closing her eyes as her cheeks were covered in veins. Harshly dropping the drained body to the ground she looked around with a grin. "Kol, Layla are you quite done?" Elijah asked as Layla stalked forward with a manic grin.

"Hm I have not even gotten started brother." Layla teased having found out her incurable hunger being a vampire. They'd called it ripper. When on a rampage she literally tore the victim's limb from limb.

"Oh bother Elijah is all this truly necessary?" Kol called out annoyed.

"Don't get him started brother, I only just found him tolerable again." Layla commented with a roll of her eyes as she walked over to the carriage playing with the horses main.

"Brother the road is a major affair if the bodies are found-"Elijah was cut off by Layla's annoyance.

"Word of our presence will spread to Mikael; we got it the first hundred times." Layla commented dryly as she sat on top of the carriage sighing.

"We have run through autumn and winter, sleet and snow, are we cursed to forever live in fear of our father?" Rebekah asked.

"Father quite likes me; he just hated my lovely bastard brother." Layla commented with a kind smile towards Klaus who looked away guilty.

"Layla please, Niklaus," Elijah tried.

"Do we have any idea where we are running to next?" Rebekah called out catching Layla's attention.

"Why not doing what we've all thought of doing? Split up?" Kol suggested chiming in.

"We swore a vow" Klaus called out.

"Your vows haunt me more than father himself." Kol spat angrily.

"If we are being technical, you, Rebekah and Elijah swore a vow; I took no such part in with you three." Layla stated simply.

"Let's take our chances he can't catch us all." Kol suggested.

"For once I agree with Kol." Fin sighed gesturing to Kol.

"Thank you I always said eldest brother is the most intelligent." Kol praised him jokingly.

"I take no joy in our ascent but I do wish to sleep in a bed, to bathe in a bath, to feed on proper food. If we divide" Fin was cut off from his realistic rambles.

"No brother" Elijah put the rules down. "Niklaus is right we made a vow, family above all." Elijah stated walking off to Klaus giving him a reassuring smile.

END OF FLASHBACK

Walking out of a bar at night she let out a loud cheer as the man she was with snaked an arm around her body leading her into his apartment near the bar. Over the few months Layla had been exploring her sexuality in ways not unknown to her. She knew what she liked and how to get it. She had come back into her old body permanently preserving her witch body which didn't take much effort considering the banshee spirit was built to preserve the body. She'd spent her time grieving for the brother she had lost and for the parents that had left.

FLASHBACK:

"Who's ready for the next course?" Kol asked patting Klaus on the shoulder as Layla retracted her fangs from the man's neck as the blood dripped down her face and onto her dress. Smirking she callously dropped him to the ground looking over at Klaus who seemed tormented.
