Klaus was sitting in front of the blood of O positive as Elijah came waltzing in with a distasteful frown. "I have been informed by Vincent that our sister, Layla, has been trying to contact the hollow, perhaps you could look up Wilhelm, perhaps he would be of some help to dissuade her from her troubled path." Elijah suggested and Klaus paused and his mouth opened.
"We haven't seen her in weeks." Klaus pointed out.
"She is family brother, and if the hollow is trying to control her, she will prove to be an extremely dangerous enemy, especially if she gives up the location of her body or the ritual to gain access to her magic topping off the hollows already immense magic." Elijah drawled out making Klaus growl.
"Fine." He huffed standing up and storming out past Elijah. Layla was floating in mid-air as she was in a lying position. Opening her eyes in a flash she floated herself into a standing position and walked kneeling down to her book and began writing incoherently inside of it. Sensing someone behind her, she turned and easily broke their legs but paused upon seeing the familiar face of Wilhelm. A smile them broke out onto her face.
"Why are you in New Orleans Wilhelm?" Layla inquired taking a step closer to Wilhelm who chuckled throwing his arms around Layla kissing the top of her head.
"I heard your brother Niklaus, he was worried about you." Wilhelm informed her and the smile easily fell from her lips.
"I'm fine Wilhelm, nothing to be worried about." Layla pointed out turning away from Wilhelm and packing up the book. Wilhelm took a step closer taking her arm and the two jumped away seeing flashes of something. Wilhelm met her eyes scared. "Don't tell anyone please." Layla begged stepping forward.
"What the hell's going on with you Layla?" Wilhelm tried to ask her and she shook her head defiantly.
"Nothing is going on Wilhelm; I'm just enjoying being a witch." She informed him with a hopefully false smile. Wilhelm nodded looking her over.
"It's more than that Layla. Something isn't right with you." Wilhelm pointed out. Layla then held her hand out to Wilhelm.
"And you are wrong. I've just never been a Banshee before." Layla tried to cover it up.
"Layla, come on, I'll take you to Freya, she'll figure out what is wrong with you." Wilhelm pointed out grabbing her hand and pulling her away but Layla shoved him away with her magic. Despite him being the last thousand year old vampire that wasn't an original he wasn't magical. He wouldn't be able to compare to magic.
"No if I do that then Freya will want something from me." Layla shrieked.
"Lucien's ashes?" Wilhelm inquired having heard about it from Klaus. They'd all tried to be kind to her during her grief but it had gone on five years and she still hadn't gotten over it.
"She's not allowed to take them!" Layla shouted distorting her face into pure anger.
"You know you need to get over it." Wilhelm pointed out making Layla look up at him like a hurt child.
"Why? Why do I have to get over it? This isn't like him just dying at the hands of someone else Wilhelm. This isn't me grieving. I've already been there and done that. I've cried my heart out, I've been angry at my family long enough to know I don't have to grieve for him. That's not why I'm doing this. Now stop trying to find out what is wrong Wilhelm because I know you don't really care. It's been five years. Don't start caring now." Layla spat storming past Wilhelm and walking down the fire escape and into her apartment. Later that night Layla showed up to the Mikaelson house looking around she walked and Klaus appeared in front of her. "You sent Wilhelm?"
"Elijah and I were worried. Love you have to talk to us soon." Klaus tried but Layla shook him off.
"You wouldn't understand. You've never been so broken by the death of someone you love that you began hating your family. You wouldn't understand it. Look I'm on your side Nik; I'm not going to betray you. I never have." I promised him leaning up and kissing his cheek.
"You are my sister, I have a child now Layla, I can't run after you and every single drama in your life anymore." Klaus pointed out with a broken huff. Layla couldn't do anything but look away.
"I'm not asking you to Nik. Beside you always stuck me in a box instead of helping me with my drama. But I can't be involved with the Mikaelson's on this one. But if you need me, I will come by your side. I love you big brother." Layla whispered throwing her arms around him and then she turned and walked away.
