Once Layla got back into New Orleans after her long drive back home and her road trip, once she pulled up to the house as it was raining. Walking up and into the house she walked up to her room. On the way up she saw Elijah, Rebekah, Marcel and a woman she did not recognise. "Hello dear siblings and Marcel and lady I do not know." Layla greeted them taking out a cigarette from her lips walking forward. The girl's face lit up with joy as she walked up to Layla who eyed her sceptically.
"My dead sister, I am the oldest, Freya Mikaelson, I am helping our family defeat Dahlia once and for all." Freya informed her with a prideful grin.
"I have been gone too long." Layla commented.
"Niklaus killed our father." Freya informed Layla who looked to her wide eyed and her heart sped up. "It is good to see you sister. I have only heard stories."
"And I assure you every single one of them is true." Layla stated turning away from Freya throwing the cigarette away.
"We daggered Niklaus." Elijah informed her walking forward.
"Oh he's going to be pissed. But no matter I will gather my books from Baba Yaga, see you soon." Layla waved her hand stalking away.
"Layla actually seems helpful." Rebekah commented.
"She went to Mystic Falls; she probably got a kind word of advice from Stefan Salvatore. Her apparent weakness; she is still grieving but she is most productive in her grief." Elijah commented fixing his suit. When she came back down she saw Rebekah jittering.
"You're rather calm considering there are a million ways this plan could fall to pieces." Rebekah commented as Layla watched amused.
"I'll do the spell; this body is stronger besides I know more magic than dear old Beks." Layla teased looking to Freya.
"Yes I heard about your abnormal control over expression in your youth." Freya commented.
"The only magic I really liked. I do love the feeling of a power trip." Layla stated drawing in a breath.
"Of course sounds familiar. I was upset when Elijah ignored my plan in favour of his own you are all so determine to protect Hope at all costs, perhaps I'm envious no one fought so hard to protect me." Freya snapped looking at the painting of Klaus. "Then I recalled what I saw when I looked inside your mind, the day you all swore to stand by one another, always and forever, there is strength in such vows."
"I can assure you it has not been free of such consequence" Elijah spoke with such conviction.
"Those you decided to include." Layla resentfully commented.
"That vow has been more trouble than it's worth." Rebekah spat walking around.
"But yet here you all are proving my point, family will always be there even if it does demand sacrifice. My entire life I have longed for what you have, it is better to glimpse it facing death than run forever knowing nothing of family." Freya whispered to everyone holding Rebekah's hand. When the next day came Layla began to chant preforming the spell smirking to herself when Dahlia showed up but she continued chanting. Layla then felt someone grab her throat and Layla turned around sending the culprit flying and snapping his neck. She then ran outside seeing Klaus and Elijah fighting. Layla stood in front of Klaus making him stop for a moment.
"Nik you don't need to do this." Layla spat.
"Yes I do, I didn't realise you were back but of course you'd take their side." Klaus yelled slapping her across the face knocking her out. Upon waking Layla turned over to her back rubbing her head feeling the blood. She then got up into a crouching position as her eyes looked over the railing to a dead body and Elijah's anguished look. Layla sat next to him holding his hand tightly.
