After a couple weeks spent MIA Layla showed up back at the Mikaelson manor and Klaus looked at her raised eyebrow at her on and off entrance. "And where have you been?" Klaus spat as she dropped her bag on the ground looking at his painting.

"Pretty snowflake." Layla commented with a shrug. "I've been attending to the more pressing issues in my life like exercising my freedom." Layla informed him nonchalantly.

"And binging on unsuspecting men and women, your taste does waver between genders I must say, the newspapers do not lie." Klaus spat throwing her some paper which she caught. Looking down her lips curled into a smirk.

"I'm proud of my work." Layla stated throwing the paper back. "I'll see you later tonight Nik. And you don't control what I do with my life. Not anymore."

"Oh I could again but it just so happens I know if Kol spent one day without hearing for you he'd be out for blood and a dagger free you. I don't much fancy three of my siblings hating on me again." Klaus sighed as Layla walked out of the room laughing. Later the afternoon Layla sat up hearing something downstairs. Speeding downstairs she looked at Stefan who opened a safe. Crossing her arms her face lit up in amusement. She then watched him stalk around for the house waiting for him to get off the phone.

"Good luck finding it, Nik told me to hide it, and I'm excellent at hiding things." Layla whispered seductively walking close to him with barely an inch away from him.

"Why are you on his side for this?" Stefan demanded to know. A smirk formed on her lips as she ran her hands down his jacket.

"Family is family, I do not particularly like Niklaus but it's never a dull moment." Layla shrugged shoving him away from her with a laugh. "Get out before he finds out you were here." Layla ordered him as he sighed nodding his head and speeding out of the house. Swaying herself to the side she walked back up to her bedroom where a man was lying on her bed naked and she crawled over him kissing him softly and his hands were placed on her waist as she kissed her way down to his neck biting down draining him dry. Later that night she made her way to the snowflake ball. Dressed in a black cocktail dress she was standing with a man at the bar and smirked seductively and whispered in his ear. "Ready for a little game?" Layla asked moving away and watching him with gleam at his pupils dilated with lust. "Meet me at this address tonight, I expect you to walk," She compelled him. "Be there in 20 minutes starting from the moment you leave, if you fail, bash your head against the pavement." Layla ordered and the man was going to run but Layla pulled him back pressing herself against his body. She then pulled out his ID and put it in her purse and her lips crashed onto his savouring the sweet taste of life upon his lips, once she pulled away he ran towards the exit and she walked forward heading for another man when she saw Stefan and Klaus talking.

"Loneliness Stefan that's why you and I and Layla memorialise our dead there is a moment before we kill where we literally hold their life in our hands and then we rip it away. And then we're left with nothing. So gathering personal affects, letters or writing their name on a wall, it's a reminder that we're left infinitely and utterly alone." Klaus spoke poetically with sadness before turning away and his eyes landed on Layla who looked at him with fury. Heavily drawing an unnecessary breath she turned around compelling 5 more men and then getting in her car driving home. Once she got home she waited patiently for the men. Only 4 showed up. Growling in anger she got them all to go to her room sinking her teeth into 3 out of anger she then roughly engaged in sex with the best looking before draining him after she'd reached her climax. Laying in her bed she lit a cigarette from an untouched pack. Drawing in the toxins that should have killed her she laid in the blood of her victims naked and alone. Putting on her underwear she looked herself in the mirror not oblivious to the disgusting amount of blood dripping down her body and staining her hair. Stalking out of her bedroom while putting on a robe she made her way downstairs she saw Klaus entering their home and the darkest look appeared on his face.

"Betrayed by my own hybrids." Klaus spat angrily.

"Good, for the record Nik, I am not lonely." Layla spat at Klaus who gripped her neck shoving her against the wall.

"You are alone Layla. Look at you, the last time you felt true companionship was when you were in love with a boy, who happened to be my friend and you ruined it. You've been alone in the world ever since then and not even your unlikely friendship with Katerina Petrova would have saved you from that burning loneliness. You are the original ripper; don't pretend you are anything more than that." Klaus muttered darkly. Layla kicked him away grabbing a knife and lodging it in his throat grabbing the back of his head breaking into his skull.

"You dare treat me as if I am kind Rebekah then I'll be sure to turn our family against you forever. I may be a ripper, Nik, but you are the true monster of this family." Layla spat her dark green eyes narrowing significantly, enjoying the dark thrill of hurting Klaus who choked a chuckle.

"Hm I'll be sure to remember that the next time I walk in on you skinning a boy alive and watching him bleed out. You are a twisted soul, you are right you aren't kind Rebekah, at least Rebekah deserves forgiveness, your violence, it's all you are, nothing more to you." Klaus laughed and Layla snapped his neck storming up to the stairs with a bottle of alcohol. Once she made it up there she looked around at the mess draining the bottle as quickly as she could and she then threw it against the wall letting out an ear piercing scream remembering one of the worst things she'd ever done.
