Once Layla made it back to the Mikaelson house upon seeing Hayley holding Klaus by the collar hitting him; shrugging and walking forward she plopped down on the seat as hope walked up to the two parents. "Oh that's heart-warming." Layla commented with a smile.

"You could try sounding sincere." Elijah spat fixing his suit.

"Hm doesn't sound like me though." Layla bit back coldly.

"What happened is the curse broken?" Jackson asked rushing to Hayley embracing her.

"We're safe for now." Hayley assured Jackson.

"Good for you I will have your bedroom made up." Klaus informed them as if nothing happened.

"The only reason I will stay under this roof is if I am in a coffin." Hayley spat with fury evident in her voice.

"If you think I will let Hope out of my protection for a second-"Klaus was cut off by an even more furious Hayley.

"What you think doesn't matter welcome for a 21st century custody battle, mums win them now." Hayley spat as Layla chuckled at the slight inaccuracy.

"If I may the apartment across the streets have been renovated, I will talk to the land lord the fact that Hope will never be out of ear shot should persuade your paranoia" Elijah offered.

"So we are to listen as my daughter is raised by savages." Klaus resentfully commented.

"As if you lot are so damn civilised?" Jackson bit back.

"You created the crescent pack problem this might as well be the solution" Elijah offered.

"Put the place in Jackson's name Klaus won't be invited in." Hayley spat storming away. Layla looked to Klaus as everyone walked off and she made her way up to him.

"Cheer up Nik," Layla tried brushing his face as the first ever sign of affection he'd gotten from a family member in a while. A while later Layla was called down by Freya who has her hands in a bowel of their blood mashed together.

"It's true you have a terrible shadow over you, Rebekah too, if this prophecy is fulfilled you will all fall, one by friend, one by foe, one by family and one by lover." Freya shakily informed them. Walking up back to her bedroom Layla sat processing the information she had been given. She couldn't say she hated the idea of dying. She'd felt awful every day she spent without Kol. But she'd only just met Freya and had barely even gotten to know her. Walking up Klaus appeared in her room.

"We will survive Layla, be sure of that." Klaus promised. Layla then shook her head.

"I'm not afraid for my survival Nik. I've always managed to survive unscathed in my past. I just fear I'll be the last Mikaelson standing when this is all over." Layla whispered nervously.

"You won't be alone. Are you okay with Lucien showing up? I know how close you two were previously." Klaus pointed out oblivious to their relationship they had together. Looking up at him Layla shook her head with a sigh.

"Honestly? It stirs up old feelings but I guess you could say he ignited a certain fire in me I haven't felt in too long." Layla informed him finally for once thinking about something other than family. "I do wonder what Wilhelm is doing these days." Layla commented with a small chuckle.

"Oh I remember that young man, didn't he have quite the crush on you when he was a young boy?" Klaus asked remembering the fierce man he'd turned into. Wilhelm was the first vampire Layla turned in her long life. He was a brave lad. With a true heart. He'd been but a child no longer than 10 when the group had met him. Layla had taken him with her when they fled Mikael. He was an orphan boy raised by servants and he was the Duke of his home.

"Yes he had a big crush on me I found him rather entertaining." Layla joked shaking her head.

FLASHBACK:

On a bright sunny day Layla was standing with Rebekah huffing in annoyance at the children tugging on her dress.

"Hello you must be Lady Layla." Arora, Klaus' crush greeted her as Rebekah was dancing with the children. Layla tilted her head annoyed.

"Why don't you just go ahead and call me La-lay." Layla sneered as Arora giggled with childish enjoyment.

"Come dance, be a lady for once in your life." Arora challenged Layla running off. Sighing Layla walked after Arora dancing with the children. Lucien stood there looking at her with a lingering affection in his eyes. Noticing that Kol walked up to Lucien gripping his shoulder.

"Nice view is it not?" Kol inquired with a tantalising smirk.

"Yes it is lovely to see the children and the fair ladies dancing together, I think the young Lord William fancies Lady Layla." Lucien commented with a nervous smile making Kol howl with laughter.

"Young William wouldn't be the only one foolish enough to fancy my older sister. She has a tendencies to rip out the hearts of the men that fancy her. Says it's the only sort of poetic justice these foolish men get for fancying something that enjoys the hunt and the kill." Kol informed Lucien who swallowed nervously.

"That is good to know." Lucien nodded nervously. Just then Klaus walked up narrowing his eyes at Kol.

"What are you doing?" Klaus demanded to know.

"Oh only telling him what our lovely sister likes to do with her suitors." Kol cheerfully informed Klaus who sighed tiredly.

"You'll have to excuse my brother, he has no manners." Klaus sighed watching Layla let out a loud laugh of enjoyment which made Kol's whole demeanour change.

"That's something I have not heard in a while." Kol commented with a kind smile. Lucien noticed the affection and adoration Kol had given his sister Layla who let out another genuine laugh of enjoyment.

"I can honestly say the same." Klaus smiled walking off with Kol. Walking up to Layla as she began to try and make a daisy chain with young Lord Wilhelm, Wilhelm scampered off as Lucien sat down taking the daisy and making the chain for her. She gave him a welcomed smile.

"Thank you as far as being a true lady goes I am abysmal. Wilhelm has gone off to make me my daisy ring" Layla commented with a small laugh to which Lucien noticed the genuine glee upon her features.

"You'll do fine I do not deem it a requirement to know how to daisy chain for a lady such as you. And since he had decided to gain your affection through daisies I shall do the same." Lucien assured her as she moved closer to him as he began to teach her how to daisy chain. He then tucked a daisy in her hair and placed a daisy chain on her wrist making her with him a true smile of joy.
