Auni•

This morning wasn't gray, but by soothing lavender and brilliant amber. The colors merged into neon pink and peach. Spreading sunrise, pinkish glow, clouds tinted, colours spread across the sky announcing the new day, oranges and reds painted across the clouds as if by a celestial hand.

I slowly open up my eyes revealing their admirable chestnut color. I yawn while stretching out my furry legs, then rolling onto my left side. My brother Ishara is still sleeping. His loud snores kept me awake all last night. I did finally manage to get a few hours in of sleep though. But not so well.

I roll my eyes at him with a groan and lean down grabbing his ear gently with my teeth. "Ishara, get up!"

Ridiculous.

Ishara stops snoring. He wakes up shaking out his now large grown mane and yawned. "It's morning already? Man, I've must of slept really good!"

I frown at him as he shrugs.

"What?"

"Your loud snoring kept me up all night. That's what!"

Ishara chuckles. "Oh, heh, my bad sis."

I noticed mother isn't in the cave. I got up to go look out for her. I stand at the edge of Pride Rock scanning my eyes across the huge land. She must of went to go hunt breakfast with the huntresses.

Majority of the Pride is awaken too now. Some are still in the cavern while others outside. Ishara walks out the cavern and stands beside me.

"Lovely morning isn't it? Have you seen where Kisima had went?" He asks.

"No, I have not seen your precious girlfriend. She probably went to go hunt with mom and the others. She will be back, you can live a few moments without her trust me." I say, while rolling my eyes with annoyance.

Yes, my brother and Kisima are dating. It was pretty obvious that two were really digging each other when Kisima had first joined Pride Rock back when we were all teens. Somehow the two instantly clicked and became super close.

I like Kisima though. She has a very sweet, gentle, kind and soft personality. She never means trouble to anyone. If the two happen to marry each other in the future, then I would gladly accept her as my sister-in law. But for now, only time will tell. They're just enjoying each other's company.

Ishara scoffs and laughs. "Very funny, Auni. I guess I'll wait for her up here then."

"Cool. I'm going to go find the girls. See you in a bit!"

Ishara nodded.  I left and decide to go hang out behind Pride Rock. I assume Bahiya, Maha, and Mila are back there probably gossiping already without me.

When I got there of course I was right. I smile as they greet me.

"Good morning ladies!"

"Good morning, Auni!" They say in unison.

I choose a rock next to Mila. "So, what's been the new gossip?" I ask, with my front paws crossed.

Bahiya shakes her head. "Oh, nothing really. Same old same stuff."

"Oh."
