Scott wakes up with a slight headache. After he dropped Mitch off at his house Scott drove home. Once he was home Scott found one of Asher's toys in the living room, that's all he needed to drink the rest of the wine. Scott knew it was pathetic, he just missed his son a lot. Scott hated being this weak, he just couldn't seem to help it.

Scott gets out of bed and makes his way to his bathroom. Scott was happy that he got to pick Asher up tonight. He missed the little boy more than words could explain. Asher just always made Scott's day so much brighter.

"Why am I such a mess? I need to get myself together before Kayla sees me tonight." Scott whispers, looking into the mirror. "Great, and now i'm talking to myself."

Scott shakes his head before hoping into the shower. All he had to do was get through the day and he would get Asher again. Mitch helped distract him but he had his own family to take care of. It would be selfish for Scott to take all of Mitch's time. Plus Scott needed to fix himself before he tried getting into a serious relationship.

After Scott's shower, the blonde plops down on his couch and turns the tv on. Scott starts by watching the news but quickly gets distracted when his phone goes off.

"Kayla, what's up?" Scott asks. Scott couldn't help but get a little worried. He wasn't supposed ro pick Asher up until later that night. Why would Kayla be calling him so eairly?

"Scott, I need you to meet me at the hospital" Kayla says. Scott's heart almost stops at that sentence.

"Why? What happened?" Scott says, his voice and heart rate rising. He's already turning the tv off and slipping his shoes on.

"He was playing outside one moment and the next he was only the ground crying. Right now we think Asher broke his leg." Kayla says.

"Shit." Scott curses. He's already in his car by now. "I'm on my way. How did he break his leg? You only had to watch him! It's not that hard, Kayla!"

Scott was pissed and he didn't plan on hiding it. All Kayla had to do was watch their son. How could she not do something so simple? Scott was beyond angry. Nothing like this would have happened on his watch. Being a parents wasn't that hard! This could have been avoided if Kayla had been watching their son closer. Instead she had probably been kissing her new boyfriend. This thought only made Scott angrier than he already was.

"I know, Scott." Kayla says. "Just please hurry, he wants to see you."

"I'll be there in less than five minutes." Scott sighs. "Just try to comfort him, I'll be there soon."

Scott runs numerous red lights and gets honked at more than he usually would. He just can't waist anytime. Scott has to see his little boy and make sure he's ok. He just wants to be there already and be able to comfort Asher. Scott hastily parks his car and all but sprints into the children's wing.

"I'm looking for Asher Hoying." Scott says, the nurse behind the counter and an almsot bored expression on her face.

"How are you related?"

"I'm his father." Scott says quickly. He taps his foot impatiently as the nurse looks something up on her computer.

"Room 106."

Scott thanks her and then rushes into the elevator. He arrives on the right floor and then hurries towards Asher's room. There's a doctor entering the room when Scott gets to Asher's room. Scott's in such a hurry it takes him a moment to realise it's Mitch.

In his worry Scott had completely forgotten that Mitch worked at this hospital. Scott had also forgotten Mitch was the head of the pediatrics department. It only made sense that Scott would see him while he was here.

"Scott? Is Asher ok?" Mitch asks. Scott was a little touched that Mitch was worried about his son.

"Kayla says they think he broke his leg." Scott says. "This is his room, I just got here."

"Well, it looks like I'm his doctor." Mitch smiles. "Should we head inside then?"

Scott nods and follows Mitch inside. Scott clenches his jaw when he sees Daniel standing next to Kayla. Daniel was probably an ok guy, Scott just had hated him the second he had heard his name.

"Daddy, it hurts!" Asher says, pointing to his leg. Scott rushes over to his son and kisses the top of his head.

"We'll get him something for the pain soon." Mitch says. He turns towards Kayla and smiles. "I'm doctor Grassi. i'll be your sons doctor today. Do you mind if I take a look, buddy?"

Asher nods his head and let's Mitch start examining his leg. Scott keeps running his hands through Asher's hair and down his back as Mitch continues. Mitch finishes the examine quickly and looks at Scott instead of Kayla.

"He'll be fine." Mitch smiles. "He did break his leg though. So he'll have to wear a cast for a while and he'll be taking pain killers as needed."

"Thank you." Scott says.

"Don't mention it, I'll be back in a little while to check up on Asher. I'll see you soon, Scott."

Scott presses one more kiss to the top of Asher's head before sighing. His son would be ok. Scott knew Asher was in great hands. He would have to think Mitch again later.
