"Are you sure there's no pain?" Scott asks.

"I'm sure." Asher sighs. Scott nods and helps his son out of the car. It was time for school and Asher had wanted to push on and go. Scott wasn't going to make his son stay home.

"Sorry, buddy." Scott says. "I just want to make sure you're ok. If it does start hurting though, tell Mrs. Kelly and I'll make sure the nurse give you your medication."

Asher nods and starts using his crutches. He was already getting pretty good at using them. It doesn't take long for them to reach his class+. Once they do Scott fills Tori in and then heads towards his own classroom.

"Hey, Mr. Hoying." Zoey says. "I heard about Asher, is he ok?"

Scott smiles when he sees Zoey. Scott figured that Mitch had told both of his kids about Asher's broken leg. Scott still hadn't had time to thank Mitch yet.

"He's fine." Scott says. "He wanted to go to school today so i'm having the teacher watch out for him. Thanks for asking, Zoey."

"Yeah, I like Asher." Zoey shrugs. "He's a great kid."

"Yeah, he really is." Scott smiles. "Do you mind helping me set up today? I want to do something fun to study for the test."

"Sure." Zoey says. They work together and soon enough the review game is set up. When the bell rings Zoey goes to sit down and Scott waits for his class to enter the room. Now he just has to teach.
---
"Is it ok if we stay in here again?" Zoey asks at the end of the day.

"Sure." Scott smiles. He glances at his son who's doing his math homework. When he looks back at Zoey she's typing something into her phone. She's most likely texting her dad where they'll be.

"Thanks, Mr. H." Zoey smiles. "Our dad should be here fairly soon. He said he just had some paperwork to complete."

"It's no problem at all." Scott smiles. "Asher wanted to finish his homework anyways. Ash, do you need any help?"

Ahser nods his head slowly and both Scott and Zoey smile. Blake just keeps his eyes on the mountain of homework in front of him. Scott's about to go help his son when his phone buzzes.

"I can get it." Zoey says.

"Thanks, Zoey." Scott smiles. The teen smiles and goes to help Asher. Scott then turns his attention back to the text he had just received.

Mitch:
Thanks for letting my kids stay in your room again. I'm almost there.

Scott:
I really don't mind.

Mitch:
Yeah, well your too nice sometimes.

Scott:
You already told me that's something you liked about me.

Mitch:
Damn you and your amazing memory!

Scott:
I'll see you soon, Mitch.

Mitch:
That you will.

Scott puts his phone away and glances back towards his son. Zoey is whispering something too him and then watching as Asher rights something on his paper. Asher had always been good at doing his schoolwork but lately he had been failing a bit behind.

Scott was almost completely sure it was because of the divorce. When Zoey was helping him though, Asher seemed to be enjoying his work again. Maybe Scott would have to ask Zoey about the possibly of tutoring. Scott's thoughts are soon cut short though.

"I'm here!" Mitch announces. He's wearing his scrubs again and Scott can't help but smile.

"Hey, dad." Zoey smiles. "Can you give us a minutes. Asher is almost done with his homework."

"Sure." Mitch smiles. "I can just talk to Scott for a little bit."

Zoey gives Scott and Mitch a knowing smile. She knows that they went on a date, she was the one looking out the window, and she definitely likes how happy her dad had been lately. She'd do about anything to get them to spend more time together. It had been awhile since Mitch was this happy at all times.

"Hey, Mitch." Scott smiles. He makes sure to keep his voice down. He doesn't want any of the kids eavesdropping.

"Hey, how's Asher's leg doing?"

"It's good." Scott says. "Thanks for taking care of him, I really apreashatie it."

"Don't mention it, Scott." Mitch smiles. "Are you doing anything tomorrow?"

"I have Asher but other than that no." Scott says. "Why? What's up?"

"It's nothing." Mitch says, rubbing the back of bis neck. From his reaction Scott and tell that it isn't nothing. "The hospital's just throwing a party tomorrow. I have to go every year and they're always boring."

"Are you asking me on a date?"

"It depends on what your answer is." Mitch says.

"Well, if you are asking me on a date then my answers yes." Scott smiles.

"Well, then I guess it's a date." Mitch says. "I'll for sure have the hottest date there. Oh, make sure you wear a suit."

"I can do that." Scott says. "I can't wait to be your date tomorrow."

"Good." Mitch smiles. "I'll see you tommorow, Scott."

"You can count on it."

"I will." Mitch smiles. They make eye contact for a little while longer. If there weren't other people in the room Scott would have closed the gap between them and kissed Mitch. He would just have to do it on their date tomorrow.
