It was Monday, which meant that Scott was in his classroom. Teaching was defietly his passion and everyone who saw him could see that. Scott's reading a chaper out of a book where there's a knock on the door. He sighs before setting the book down and looking to his students. A few of them had already been losing interest. Now that there was a distraction more had already started whispering to friends. Kids will be kids.
"Talk amongst yourselves." Scott says, a small smile on his lips. He then walks over to closed door, opens it up, and looks at who is on the other side. His heart starts beating faster when he sees Kayla standing outside of his classroom. He quickly steps out of the room and shuts the door behind himself. "Kayla? Is there something wrong with Asher?"
Kayla is silent for another moment, allowing Scott to become more worried over his son. "No, I just wanted to speak with you."
"Kayla." Scott sighs, running a hand through is hair. "I'm kind of in the middle of something right now."
"I know, I know." Kayla says, a small smile on her lips. She doesn't seem to care that Scott's working, taking her time with saying anything else. "I just wanted to ask you something and I didn't know any other time I'd be able to."
"Ok, well you're already here so, ask away." Scott says, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't really want to talk to Kayla, yet he knew for a fact that he couldn't start a fight at work.
"I was wondering if you'd want to grab lunch later." Kayla says, speaking again before Scott can disagree. "I want us to be on good terms for Asher."
"Well, I actually have a lunch date with Mitch today. I do want our relationship to be better though." Scott says, remembering to add something else last minute. He does notice Kayla's smile shift slightly when he mentions Mitch. "Only for Asher's sake though."
Kayla seems to ignore the blonde's added comment. "Great! You have my number, so just text me when you're free."
Scott nods and watches as his ex-wife walks off. He hadn't been excepting her to just stop by. Kayla had never even done that when they were married. She only came to the school for parent-teacher conferences. Normally Scott still did those by himself. So he was very confused to why Kayla hadn't just texted him. He shakes his thoughts of and goes back inside of his classroom.
"Ok! Everyone reopen your books to page 237!"

It was Scott's lunchbreak and his eyes were glued to the door. Mitch was running a few minutes late and he was all the blonde could think about. He just really wanted to see his boyfriend about right now. Plus, Scott felt like he needed to tell Mitch about Kayla. He didn't want to hide it like it was some sort of huge secret. Scott knew Mitch would trust him, so he would tell him.
Moments later the door bursts open reveling a panting Mitch in a pair of navy blue scrubs. "I'm here! So sorry i'm late, babe."
"It's fine, Mitchie. I'm just happy you're here now." Scott smiles, standing up and walking over to the brunette. He closes the door before places his lips on Mitch's, soon finding a steady pace for them to move. The blonde figured a closed door would be better for a short make out session. Scott didn't know if there were any kids just roaming the halls.
When they pull apart Mitch has a large smile on his face. He hasn't been expecting the passionate kiss, though he wasn't complaining. "I love you."
"I love you too." Scott says, taking Mitch's hand in his own. "So, I was going to take you out for lunch. Do you still want to go in your scrubs?"
"Shit! I completely forgot to change." Mitch says, looking down at what he's wearing with a frown. "Sorry, Scotty. Did I ruin the plans you had?"
"Not at all. We can still go out to lunch. I just want you to be comfortable." Scott says, brushing a stray strand of hair from Mitch's face. "I'm more than ok with going out with you in your scrubs. I like showing off my doctor boyfriend."
Mitch smiles and leans up to kiss Scott on the lips. "Well, I like showing you off too. I guess we can go out then. I just didn't want to embarrass you."
"You'll never be able to embarrass me, Mitchie."
The two boys links arms before exiting Scott's classroom, heading towards the staff parking lot. They get into Scott's car and start driving. The blonde doesn't really know where he's going yet. Scott figured that he could find some place for a nice, romantic lunch. He has one hand on Mitch's knee and Mitch has his on Scott's hand.
"So, do you have any idea where we're going to eat lunch?" Mitch asks, a knowing smile on his face. Scott glances over at him for a split second and smiles as well.
"Do you even need to ask that question?" He says, disbelief flooding his voice. "Of course I don't!"
They both laugh at this and Scott keeps driving. He eventually pulls into the parking lot of a small diner. It's secluded and Scott had heard good things about it from Avi. He gets out of the car, rushes over to Mitch's side, and opens the door for him.
Mitch let's out a quiet giggle that instantly brings a smile to Scott's face. "How did I ever find such a gentleman?"
"I don't know." Scott smiles, shrugging his shoulders. "I've been told that i'm quite the catch."
"And who told you that?" Mitch asks, his eyebrows raised. Scott knew that the sass Was comi mg before it really did. "Was it someone you found in the mirror? They might have looked a lot like you."
Scott lightly punched him in the shoulder, to in love with the man to ever be truly upset. "Shut up you perfect piece of man."
"Is that even an insult?"
"Sorry, I couldn't think of any. Guess I just love you too much."
