"What am I going to tell him?" Scott asks, pulling away from Kayla's strong hold on him. He was about to have a panic attack and a hug wasn't going to stop that. Scott was just so worried about how Mitch would take this. The brunette was already barely holding on, he didn't need this to add to the load.

Kayla doesn't have the answer she wants but it's the only one she can give. "Just tell him the truth and that none of this is his fault. Then hold his hand and comfort him and don't let him out of your sight."

The blonde nods and runs a shaky hand through his hair. He asks for Kayla to watch their son and then heads to the floor Mitch will be on. Scott finds him sitting on a bed while a nurse stiches up his forehead. When Mitch sees Scott he smiles and gestures for him to come closer.

"How are the kids doing?" Mitch asks, his grip on Scott's hand firm. The brunette wasn't planning to let go of Scott's hand anytime soon.

Scott can't meet his boyfriend's eyes when he starts talking. "Well, Asher just had some minor cuts and bruises, Zoey has a broken arm and some bruised ribs, and Blake..."

"What about Blake?" Mitch asks, his eyes widening when Scott doesn't finish his sentence. The blonde takes a deep breath in before finishing his sentence. For once he had to agree with Kayla, lying would do nothing but hurt them both.

"He-he's in a coma, Mitch." Scott says, his grip tightening on Mitch's hand. Tears start to cloud the brunette's vision and Scott feels his heartbreak. "It's ok, Mitchie. I talked to the doctor and he thinks Blake has a high chance of waking up."

"I promise that I was doing everything I was supposed to, Scott. I'm a damn good driver and you need to believe me. I've never even gotten so much as a speeding ticket before, Scott." Mitch says, speaking so fast that the blonde almost can't understand what he's staying.

"I believe you, Mitch. I know that you would never put our kids in danger." Scott says. "I believe you. But all that matters right now is being there for them. Our kids are scared, Mitch, and we need to be there for them."

Mitch nods and Scott cups his cheek and wipes the tears away with the pad of his thumb. The nurse finishes Mitch's stitches and start to explain how to take care of them. He's quick to stop her, holding his hand up to silence her.

"I work here, so i'm not trying to be rude but I know how to clean stitches." Mitch says. The nurse nods and walks off, leaving Scott and Mitch alone. The couple is silent for a moment before Mitch let's his tears take over and he's falling into Scott's chest.

Scott rubs his boyfriend's back while saying sweet and resuring things to him. They stay like that, holding each other for comfort, until Mitch can pull himself together. The brunette pulls away and wipes his eyes.

"Let's just go check on him." Mitch says, still trying to stop the tears from freely rolling down his face. "I think Zoey will understand once she knows what's going on. Asher has Kayla so we should be fine."

"Don't worry about anyone else right now, baby." Scott says, his hand finding the small of Mitch's back. He leads the brunette to Blake's room. They walk slowly and Scott keeps his gaze firmly on Mitch. He wanted to make sure that his boyfriend would be ok. Scott loved Blake like his own son, he just needed to stay strong for Mitch.

When they finally reach the room Scott is glad that Mitch will be able to see his son. Yet Mitch's face is neither relieved or sad. The only expression on his face is pure horror. That's when Scott looks away from Mitch and sees the man standing next to Blake's bed.

He had light brown well-kept hair and a thin chinstrap. His hazel eyes are facing the comatose boy and his tan hand is resting on top of Blake's. He's the same height as Scott and he has two full tattoo sleeves covering his bare arms. Even with how tall and muscular he is, Scott isn't at all nervous. If he lays a hand on Mitch or Blake in a hurtful way, he's a deadman.

"Who the fuck are you?" Scott asks, his arm coming to rest protectively around Mitch's waist. "If you're not a relative get out right now."

"Oh, has Mitchell not mentioned me to you at all?" The man asks, looking at Scott with a smirk on his face. He crosses his arms over his built chest before locking eyes with Scott. "I am a relative. I'm actually his dad. So, the real question is who the fuck are you and what are you doing with your arm around my husband?"
