I thought I'd give you guys a double today! I hope you enjoy this chapter.
---
Scott wasn't good at being single. He realised that the second he signed the divorce papers. that was two days after he had told Asher. Scott wasn't used to sleeping alone, not that he had been. Asher had been sleeping in Scott's bed with him since Kayla packed her bags and left.

"Come on Asher." Scott says. "If you hurry we can get doughnuts before school starts."

It was now Monday and Asher didn't want to go to school. Scott couldn't really blame him though. Scott only got up because he needed the money to keep the house. Money was going to be a bit tighter until Kayla started paying child support.

"Ok." Asher sighs. The little boys spirts had been low for two days now. Not even doughnuts seemed to raise his mood.

"Let's go, buddy." Scott says. He can't even act like he's in a good mood. Scott ruffles Asher's blonde hair before they get into his car. "This is hard for me too, Ash. It will get better soon. At least I hope it will."

"Why did mommy have to leave?"

"I don't know, Ash. I just really don't know." Scott sighs. "You'll have to ask her this weekend."

"But I want to stay with you!" Ash says. "I don't want to go to a new house!"

"I know." Scott says. "It's something we'll both have to get used to. How about on Friday, before you go to mommy's, we get pizza? It will be nice to have some fun."

"Ok." Asher nods. He has a small smile on his face now. Scott smiles and pulls into the doughnut shops parking lot. Him and Asher get out of the car and Asher runs to the door. Scott chuckles quietly and walks in behind his son. He's glad that Asher is starting to cheer up.

"Mr. Hoying?"

Scott turns at the very familiar voice. He smiled when he sees Zoey sitting at a table. Blake is sat next to her and their dad is across from both of them.

"Hey, Zoey." Scott smiles. "How are you guys today?"

Scott is very aware that his son has grabbed onto Scott's jeans. He'll have to make sure he doesn't talk for very long. He doesn't want Asher having a meltdown in the middle of the shop. He had been through a lot lately and Scott didn't know what could set the little boy off.

"We're good." Mitch answers. "I'm off today so It thought I would take the kids out for a small treat."

"Yeah, this little monster wanted something as well." Scott laughs. "Well, I better go buy Asher something to eat. Mitch, you can stop by today during lunch if you want and we can have that meeting."

"Ok, I'll be there." Mitch smiles. Before Scott can leave Mitch asks one more question. "Scott, what happened to your ring?"

Scott had taken his wedding ring of when he signed the papers. It was currently residing in his sock drawer. Scott hoped no one would notice. Ap-parently Mitch was more observant than Scott thought he was.

"We can talk about it later." Scott says. He didn't want to talk about his divorce in front of students. Scott did want to tell someone else though.

"Ok." Mitch nods. "I'll see you later than."

"That you will." Scott nods. He then turns towards his awaiting son. "Let's get you those doughnuts, shall we?"

"Yay!" Asher claps his hands together. Scott can hear Mitch chuckle from behind him and Scott smiles. The tall blonde throws one last smile Mitch's way before finally going to purchase his son's doughnuts.

Scott glances at Mitch from across the shop multiple times while him and Asher eat. Scott ends up catching Mitch's eye once or twice.  Scott gets a small tingle in his stomach knowing that Mitch is staring as well. He hadn't felt the small tingle in a while. Scott knew that he wasn't ready to date yet, plus Mitch might not even like Scott back.

Scott can't believe he's already forming crushes. He hadn't expected to like anyone for a while. Scott had come out as bisexual in high school though, so likeing a guy wasn't the part surprising Scott. Scott doesn't think too much of his newly found crush though. It's not like anything will end up happening, right?
